J. Crew Gayle ruffle trench coat, size 8, $45
New without tags, J. Crew Gayle ruffle trench coat in a khaki/stone color. (Sorry it's a bit wrinkly, I'd packed it away for summer.) Perfect for fall! Here's how J. Crew describes it:
Cotton with a bit of nylon for sheen. The new must-have "it" shape, in an easy trench style that will wrap you in ruffles. Wrap body. Ruffle trim at neck and down center front. Three-quarter raglan sleeves. Self-belt. Pockets hidden under front pleats. Fully lined. Falls to knee. 70% cotton, 30% nylon, wrap around style with belt closure.
Measurements are as below. The coat is hard to measure because there are no snaps and it all depends on how tightly you want to belt it. I measured bust & waist with the ruffles just overlapping each other (i.e., pretty loosely belted). I think sizes 8-12 can have a field day with this coat; I'm usually a size 10/12 and it fits well.
Measurements, coat flat:
Shoulder: 16" (Raglan sleeves are more difficult to measure)
Sleeve: 16" (Remember, they're three-quarter sleeves)
Bust, underarm to underarm: 19"
Waist: 20"
Length: 38"
Originally $198, yours for $45, includes shipping in the U.S.
The peek of aqua you may see in the 1st picture is from the lining of the sleeve... You won't see that when you have the coat on, it's just the (bad) angle I spread out the coat. :) Here is the model wearing the red version:
