RELIST: Vintage Italian navy blue lace dress/tunic - 8

Up for sale is a vintage dress from my collection, label Alba Fornari and made in Italy.

It's labeled an Italian size 42, made of 87% cotton with 13% "poliammide" (nylon). It zips up in the back. The lace is what drew me to it, it's a soft-yet-sturdy kind of fabric and very well-made. It's fully lined except for the sleeves, where the lace will cover your upper arms.

I should add that I'm about 5'10" and I only wear it as dress with thick dark tights or as a tunic with jeans, as it just covers my tush. It also has a 5-inch slit in the back. If you're shorter, it may work better; in any case, I've provided the measurements below.

Measurements, lying flat:

Shoulder to shoulder: 14.75 inches
Bust (underarm to undearm) - 16 inches
Hips: 15.5 inches
Length: 33.75 inches

Please note that I don't take returns, unless I've grossly misrepresented the dress-- like I say it's blue but you receive something red instead. As this is a case with European and vintage sizing, please know your measurements. I fit into this best when I was an 8/10, but everyone is shaped differently.

Your price: $26, includes shipping in the U.S.

ANNA SUI T-shirt New size Petite

Hi all,

As you can see, I'm posting the smaller things today as part of my clearing out project.

This is a brand new Anna Sui t-shirt with an adorable iron on print. I bought it for myself in college (heh) from the Anna Sui boutique on Greene Street in NYC and never wore it. Even then I remember it costing an arm and a leg.

So it's "vintage" Anna Sui -- would be fun as a pajama t-shirt top, a gift for a little sister, or whatever.

Paid: like $35 or $40 dollars?
Asking: $15 including shipping.

Size: Petite

Listing end: 26 Nov or 6 of December - basically the smaller items go when I have a big shipment to make!

A cute sleeveless t-shirt with all unfinished details around the sleeves and neck. I haven't worn it more 2 or 3 times. Purchased from Urban Outfitters. Just making room in my closet.

Label says: TRF t-shirt collection.

Size Small

Asking: $5 including shipping.

Listing end: Nov 26. Leave email in comments!

APC Vintage Fuzzy Wool/Cotton Jacket and Pencil Skirt Set sz S

Hi all,

This jacket and skirt set are straight from my vintage APC stash. The pattern is pretty magnificently cool (especially if the pieces are not worn together, which can be overkill.) Both are unlined.

Material: 75 % wool, 25 % cotton. Very light-weight, thick, fuzzy material.

Measurements:
Jacket -- Bust 34" length 22" sleeve length 24.5"
Skirt -- waist 26", length 24"

Made in France.
Size S.

The skirt is in great condition -- no noticeable wear. I am listing it here because I think that someone out there could think of a number of cool things to do to/with it, for example, to layer with thick knit tights.

I am slightly hesitant to sell the jacket because it has a little bit of wear on the front seam (see picture number 2,) and I don't like to post anything here unless it's in either perfect or near-mint condition, even if I'm asking for very little. However, if someone wants it, I'll send it for $10 (mostly for shipping). It would be perfectly fine to cozy up in on a chilly fall day in any case.

So here is the deal:

$42 for both skirt and jacket, including shipping. If you want only one piece, the skirt will be $35, the jacket $10. Keep in mind that the pieces, while light, are bulky and so a relatively big percentage of the asking price will go towards postage costs. Preference goes to whomever wants both.

Listing end: November 26, or December 6. Leave email and specify skirt, jacket or both in the comments !

APC "bootleg" Raw Denim Jeans sz 26 New

Hi all,

These are brand new, never worn APC raw denim jeans from quite a while back. I bought them in France. This older style has a very high rise -- I have another pair of the same jeans that have been worn in perfectly through years and years of wearing and I was thinking about making them into a pencil skirt.

Why I'm getting rid of these jeans: For those handy with a sewing machine, or who are crafty, you could do something fun with them. Like make the jeans into a pencil skirt. They are one of the original styles of APC jeans, so the shape is not what is trendy now. But if you harbor a deep sense of nostalgia for the jeans, or have a good idea of something you can do with them, here they are!

Measurements:
Rise: 11"
Waist: 26"
Inseam: 30.5"

Paid: the usual
Asking: $20 including shipping. $23 to Canada.

Listing end date: Nov 26, or Dec 6 - whenever interest is expressed first. Leave name in comments!

Lovely J. Crew Wool Dress

I purchased this dress while I was working at J. Crew, wore it about twice, and have let it languish in my closet since then. This is a great staple for work and can be worn fall through early spring. I'm preparing for a big move and am trying to clean everything out before then.
  • 100% wool
  • lining - 100% silk
  • Dark Navy
  • size 6
  • asking $40 (including US shipping)
  • Listing end date - November 30th
Please leave a comment below if you are interested!

{reduced} Ulla Johnson Khaki Trousers

These Ulla Johnson trousers were purchased from a lovely New Haven boutique about a year ago. I only wore them twice, then deemed them too nice to wear to my current job. So unfortunately, they have been languishing in my closet. The shape of the leg is perfect - not too wide, not too slim. They are soft, but I feel like they look a lot more polished than other khakis I have from brands like J.Crew.

I'm cleaning out my closet in preparation for upcoming major life changes and these definitely won't fit me anymore. I'd love for them to go to a good home.
  • Color: Khaki
  • Size: 4
  • Worn: Only twice
  • Price paid: $100 (on sale)
  • Asking: $40 (US shipping included)

I prefer payment by paypal. Please leave your email address in the comments, and feel free to contact me with any questions!

{reduced} DVF Dress

I purchased this Diane Von Furstenberg dress from a resort collection about 6 years ago. I've only worn it three times since them (terrible PPW) and have kept it in a drawer since then. It is a black knit with white trim and accents. The front hemline is cut on an angle with a slit, and the back hemline is straight. It is a pretty sexy fit through the top.

I'm cleaning out my closet in preparation for upcoming major life changes and probably won't get around to wearing this again. I'd love for it to go to a good home.
  • Color: Black with white accents
  • Size: 12 (but I am usually a 6-8 and this fits great)
  • Worn: three times
  • Price paid: $300 +
  • Asking: $50 (US shipping included)
  • the first person to post wins!
I prefer payment by paypal. Please leave your email address in the comments, and feel free to contact me with any questions!

{reduced} Humanoid Tunic

I purchased this lovely tunic awhile ago from la garconne. As much as I love the rasberry color, it has been sitting in my closet and I don't think I will ever get around to wearing it. This tunic can be worn loose, or tied around the waist or hips. Ultra comfortable and amazing color to boot!

I'm cleaning out my closet in preparation for upcoming major life changes and will probably never wear this again. I'd love for it to go to a good home.
  • Color: Rasberry
  • Size: Medium
  • Worn: Never (only to try on)!
  • Price paid: $175
  • Asking: $65 (US shipping included)
  • listing until someone claims this
I prefer payment by paypal. Please leave your email address in the comments, and feel free to contact me with any questions!

{reduced} Lovely Only Hearts Dress

This dress has the most amazing color and feel. It hangs well and the cut is extremely flattering. Fits true to a size medium. I purchased this from a lovely boutique at full price, and then only ended up wearing it a couple of times. I adore the color and it makes me happy every time I open my closet, but the style just isn't going to work for me anymore. It would be a perfect dress for holiday parties.
  • Color: deep, rich blue
  • size: medium
  • Designer: Only Hearts
  • Worn: twice
  • Price paid: $300
  • Asking: $75 (including shipping)
  • Listing until someone claims this!
Payment by paypal preferred. Please leave your email address in the comments and contact me if you have any questions. Thanks for looking!

Isabel Marant Taupe Suede Boots

Isabel Marant taupe, tall suede boots in size 39. Sold out and very hard to find. I just received them in the post from an ebay seller in France. These are gorgeous and I was disappointed as they were a bit too small for me.

These boots are gorgeous! They have a nice weight - in the hand and on the feet - and an exceptionally solid base (not light and flimsy like the copies). The suede is thick and delicious which means they not only feel luxurious but they also have staying power...scrunch them down a little and they stay in place, pull them up and they also stay in place!!!!. The have been re-soled very professionally and are clean and fresh. The heels do have a few nicks, but I checked with my bootmaker about this before I purchased them and was told that they are very easily mended.

Please contact me if you would like any additional photos!

Listing end date - November 30
Price - $300

APC Tuxedo Shirt w French Cuffs New Sz S

Hi friends,

This is an APC tuxedo style dress shirt from "hiver 99" -- I bought it in Japan and never wore it. It's brand new. There are wrinkles from storing it. Naturally, I press the shirt before sending it your way.

Details: Banded neck, french cuffs, zipper in back, two darts in back for shaping though the shirt is relatively boxy in shape. Color in top photos is more accurate.

Made In France. Size S.

Styling notes: I think this would look great with a white denim pencil skirt! I don't have one, however, and am wearing it with white Acne jeans in this photo.

Why I'm giving it up:

I think someone else could have some fun with this shirt. It's also a tad bit too big for me.

Paid: appx $100
Asking: $18, including shipping -- $20 to Canada.

Listing end: November 27, or December 7, depending on if interest has been expressed by the earlier date. Leave email in comments!

APC dress-- size small

Worn twice for a combined total of 6 hours!

Originally cost around the $300 mark.

She's been sitting in my closet without being worn for way too long.... Look at how sad she looks!

If you would give this pretty dress a home, please leave your email in the comments section before Friday, 11/27.

Price: $60, inc. US shipping.

Inhabit Oversized Gray Cashmere Cardigan, Size P

Whisper-soft Inhabit Cardigan in a lovely gray, Size P. New without tags, never worn by me. The cardigan is styled so elegantly - slight dolman sleeves, fine gauge, faint ribbing at cuffs and hem, button-down, v-seaming that slims down the back. Perfect for leaving open over tucked-in boots and a t-shirt or belted over a sheath for the office.

Measurements:
Shoulder to Shoulder: 24 inches
Bust: 21 inches
Length: 34.5 inches

Would better fit someone taller than 5'0, or at the very least, more creative than I at styling. Retailed for about $380, will swap for coat/shoes/bag in my size or sell for $70 including shipping.

Vince Butterscotch Moto Jacket in XS

New, with tags, Vince Moto-style Jacket in Butterscotch, Size XS/Extra Small. Styling is the more modern and edgy Vince - tailored through bust and sides, gathered at high waist, lower hem at rear, and cuffs, covered zipper and snap placket for a clean finish. The color looks warmer in the picture - it's actually a very versatile neutral, more of a beige with gray undertones than a full-on brown.

Measurements:
Bust: 16.5 inches, but stretches through this area
Shoulder to Shoulder: 15 inches
Length: 22 inches
Please note, due to strategically placed gathers, this jacket may fit a size Small better than an XS. I'm a petite xsmall (5'0), and this was a little big on me. However, I like clothing very snug, so your mileage may vary.

Retailed for $750, was purchased for $415 at Bloomingdales (evidenced by the tags). Would like to sell for $300 including shipping, or swap for clothing in my size (will consider shoes or a high-end purse) or some hybrid of both. I'm selling this jacket as it is the fourth Vince leather jacket I own and I haven't worn it since its been purchased. Would love for it to go to someone who will appreciate it.

APC Knee-High Boots in "Greased Leather" Autumn 2009 Sz 37

Hi all,

I'm listing these APC knee-high boots here in the case someone wants them before putting them on eBay. Everyone here is just so much more nice -- editing my closet via The General Economy is a pleasure, not alienating, etc.

I've been in pretty deep denial about these boots for a while. They are too big for me, but I've been telling myself that maybe I'll gain weight, my feet will get bigger -- whatever I need to tell myself. Bottom line, they run a half size large, and I wore them so I was not able to return them.I wore these for a week last April before I realized that so much slipping and sliding around in my shoes was not comfortable. But I really love the shape of the shaft -- square and boxy. My preferred shape. I really, really wish they'd fit. If I had a cobbler that I really trusted, I'd probably have these taken in...

Here are the details:

Size 37 -- they would best fit someone who wears 37.5 or US 7.5. Or if you are a 37 who has a wider calf, this is a great option.

Measurements: 14.5"
Widest point on calf: 14"
Heel height: 2"
Outer sole measurement: 10 1/4"
Total height of boot: 16 1/4"

Condition: I added a picture of the limited heel wear. No scuff or scratches whatsoever on the boot -- not even at the toe or heel. I will also include the original box and sleeper -- I always store my shoes in their boxes. This is also why I have to list so many things here. Because I don't have enough room to store things in their boxes in my now severely constrained, single shared closet. I would give them a 9/10.

I'll have these polished and buffed before sending them out. You'll think they're new.

Other details: The toe is round. I wear a 37 typically, but a 6.5 US. I have so-called "chicken legs," and needed to wear insoles with these boots, but still the shaft was too wide, even with my pants stuffed in them. If you are 37.5 - perfect. I think these could even fit up to a 38 if you wear 38 in certain schmancy labels like Lanvin, Christian Louboutin, which I think run half a size small. I have a lot of experience with sizing, so feel free to toss any questions my way. I can be especially helpful if you can tell me what size you wear in various labels.

- stacked heel
- I also, as I do all my more expensive boots, added winterized soles to them. This cost $45 -- the cobbler did a great job. They are nary noticeable.

Paid: $680 + $45 for winterizing the boots. (Yeah, yeah. I deserved to have a finger wagged at me.) I added my invoice so that you'd know for certain that I'd paid so much for them (buyers on eBay get so persnickety about this!)

Asking: $410 including shipping. A little more to Canada, a little more to Australia. I would only ask as much as I would pay myself for something, and I think the condition of the boots merits the price.

Listing end: I am leaving on the 1st again for Chicago. I'd like to end the listing by Nov 27 so as to avoid having to schelp the boots half-way across the country in my luggage. If not then, December 8.

VANS Sk8 Hi True White Classic Hi-Tops

In Spring 2008, APC sold Vans Classic White SK8 Hi-Tops as part of its spring collections. They asked an astounding $175 for them (I guess they're hard to get in France.) Never one to pass up a good deal, and always hoping I was a "sneakers-kind-of-girl," I found a pair at a local skate shop for $55 plus tax and ordered them online immediately.

Naturally, I can't wear most hi-top sneakers. They just aren't comfortable for my feet, which are a little flat. Even worse, I was working in South America at the time and just wasn't around to return them.

So these cute shoes have been languishing in my closet since for the past year. And I should make way on the shelves.

Condition, brand new with tags.
Color: classic white

Size: Women 7.0 Men 5.5. I think they would be fine for someone who wears a 7.5, women, too.

Paid: $55+ tax
Asking: $35 including shipping. I won't ship in the box unless you absolutely want the box (add $3) because it's heavy.

Listing end: November 26 -- I'm returning to Chicago again on Dec 1 so I have to end the listing sooner than I would like otherwise I'll have to schlep the shoes half-way across the country.

MARC JACOBS Rare MOD Patent Shopper Tote Bag

I am wearing the bag with my own Rachel Comey dress, Marc Jacobs boots (apologies in advance for the plug, but I am selling a pair in size 39 5. in my eBay shop, which is what I use to sell things I think are too expensive or not in the spirit of The General Economy), and one of my treasured Lanvin origami necklaces. I do not make a profit EVER from anything I sell on this blog. I use this blog only to edit my own closet.

MARC JACOBS Rare MOD Patent Shopper Tote Bag
Condition: MINT

This is a Marc Jacobs (*not* Marc by Marc Jacobs) mod shopper/tote*. I bought it and used it on a week long trip to Japan. It's been hanging in my closet since...and so I thought, as someone put it so well on this page, it's time to let someone enjoy it as a new thing.

*the word "shopper" is usually meant to designate a tote that is rectangular in shape.

I love this bag but listing it is yet another test of how far I can edit. (At this point, it seems like I'm preparing for a new monastic life.)

The tote is made of patent textured leather, lined in a darker cream canvas that's not so light as to invite stains. The details are what are so great about this tote. There's a large flap pocket in the front, several smaller pockets in which to slip phones and whatnot and a small pocket with a brass zipper and signature heavy brass pull. Inside, a zipped pocket with matching brass pull and a patch pocket made of patent leather.

I think this bag looks great held like a shopping tote. I love the flat profile -- it's so slim and sleek. There's just no bulk to the shape whatsoever, which is a nice change from all the super huge and heavy totes that are out there.

With original sleeper bag.

Made In Italy. The quality of the workmanship and the materials used are phenomenal.

Measurements: 13" x 15.5" x 3.5"
Handle drop: 8"

Condition: Mint. There is absolutely no wear on the edges, rips, stains or scratches. Condition rating: 9.75/10 and comes in its original sleeper bag.

I paid $780 + tax at Barneys -- so like $850 -- on sale from $1100.
Asking: $370 + $12 shipping ($3 more to Canada -- inquire about other countries!) I considered asking for swap items but I realize that my original intent was to live more minimally, not accumulate more. So I will say simply, if you have any appealing APC (especially bags and dresses), Isabel Marant, Vanessa Bruno (La Lune Bag), any Golden Goose, cashmere v-neck sweaters, or whatever, so speak up! Or we can take a discount off the bag... I am looking in particular to replace two beloved items:

A grey denim tote bag from APC or a blouson mini-dress with buttons up the front (in size 34 or 36.) This was made several seasons and they are a bit of a uniform for me.

Listing end: I want everyone who is interested to have a fair chance at this without having to check for new listings everyday, so November 28. If no one responds, then December 3. Thanks! Leave email, questions or comments in comments area.

Vintage French 1980s black lace party dress, 6/8?

Dress, front

Dress, back, close-up

Dress, back

Up for sale is another vintage dress in my collection. It's a black v-neck spaghetti strap lace dress, fully lined, zips in the back. It's two layers so the lace is over a black underslip.

It's by a French label (Nouvelles Galeries Actualites) and is a French size 40; it's made of nylon and viscose. I actually like it because I'm long-waisted and this dress falls at normal waist; it may be a drop-waist on some other girls. The dress has a low-cut back; hopefully you can tell this in the pictures, it's just a straight-across cut. I'm 5'10" and it comes to just above the knee.

Measurements, dress lying flat:

Bust: 14 inches
Length of torso (lowest part of the "v" to the waistline of the dress): 18.75 inches
Waist: 18.5 inches
Length of dress (measured from the front, lowest part of the "v" to hem): 37 inches
Length of straps: 15.5 inches

Your price: $26, includes shipping in the U.S.

(It'd make a great holidays/New Year's dress! I was going to wear it last year, but my boyfriend got ill so we didn't go out.)

APC TARTAN CAPE w/ Diagonal Buttoning Autumn 09 MINT sz XS

Image from the APC website

Image from LaGarçonne

I have to write this post quickly, and go do something else. Otherwise, if I spend too much dwelling on it, I'll be unable to go through with listing this.

This is an adored APC cape from Fall 2009, was in a ton of their literature, etc. I have worn it once and planned to take it up by two inches since I felt that it was a tad too big for me. Personal taste, I think. I haven't gotten around to having it shortened because I can't find a tailor I'm sure about in DC (nor do I have the time to do a good search.) As a consequence, it's been hanging in my closet, unworn, winking at me...

So perfect for fall.

Anyhow, not sure why I'm selling this. I think it's a test of some sort. I do know that I should be less attached to my things. So this is one thing I am quite attached to that I am going to try to part with.

From the APC catalogue: "tartan wool blend. 50% wool, 30% acrylic, 20% polyamide (presumable from the lining). Long cut. Mandarin collar. Closes with four buttons on front and a snap at the collar. Two large side slits for arms. Two side patch pockets." Raglan seams.

Color: Chestnut brown plaid.

Condition: perfect. It comes with its extra copper dome button. Has been worn exactly once.

Size: XS

Paid: I paid $440 plus tax at Stel's in Boston -- so around $480.

Asking: $320 + $12 shipping

Listing end: I want everyone to have a fair chance at this, so November 26 (so that you can still wear it for fall...) if no one responds by then, December 1. Leave email or questions in comments!

{relist} Helmut Lang black skinny corduroy pants - size 27

I bought these on sale at Barney's Co-op last fall, but sadly they're just too big for me and since I got them hemmed by my tailor, I couldn't return them. The corduroy is really soft and made with a very fine wale, so the handfeel is super soft and plush. It's got a slim cut throughout the leg, but isn't so skinny that it's uncomfortable. Ideal for the fall and winter ahead, and perfect for tucking into boots! Comes from a smoke-free home.

History: I fell in love with the plaid and the neckline on this when I saw it last year. (For a better look at how the neck drapes, see here.) **Relist: BCBG Navy Jersey Taffeta Halter Dress, size 8

About: Wore this dress once.I lost some weight recently so it doesn't fit quite as well as before. It's really comfortable, with a roomy A-line skirt and flattering empire waist. And there are pockets, which is always a plus! Would be a great dress for the holidays, paired with an embellished cardigan and metallic heels. Or jazz it up with some layered necklaces.

Details: bust 17"-18", waist 14" (material is pleated jersey, so there's room to stretch)

Asking: Paid $100, asking $45 (includes shipping). Paypal only, please.

**First to comment with your email gets it. Thanks so much!

**Relist: Steven by Steve Madden knee high boots, size 8.5

About: Got these great knee high boots last Spring and never wore them. It's time to part ways. The heel is quite tall (nearly 4 inches). I like that the back panel has elastic so it would fit virtually all calf sizes! Would look great with skinny jeans or dressed up with tights and a sweater dress.

Details: Size 8.5 boots, run true to size. Great dark brown/chocolate color. Would make a great gift.

Asking: Paid $70, asking $50, REDUCED to $35 (includes shipping). Paypal only, please.

**Please leave comment with your email address. First posting will get them. Thanks!

[SOLD] “See by Chloe” silk abstract floral print blouson top – size 2

{congrats, lin!}
this gorgeous and light-as-air silk blouson top caught my eye at a chic boutique in Shanghai; as this was not purchased in the US I can’t vouch that it’s authentic See by Chloe. Nonetheless, it is real silk and a delightfully lovely top. I haven’t worn this since purchasing it, so am hoping someone else will wear this with style. Versatile in spring and summer alone with jeans or in fall/winter layered with a cardigan or under a leather jacket or blazer.
size: US size 2, would likely fit a 0-4 due to its blousy cut

shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 14.5”
chest: 16”
length: 22.5”
style details: scoop neckline; puff sleeves with elastic shirring on edge; pleated front and relaxed, blousy cut throughout; lovely drape

prairie underground hardtimes dress xs

Description:Prairie Underground Hard times dress in the color "drab" size XS. 100% organic cotton, in good used condition. Two front pockets, back zipper, and two draw strings to adjust the length. This is an amazing dress and I am sad to see it go, but I don't wear it enough to keep it, plus it is a little big on me now. When I got this dress I made an alteration, a slit in the bottom back so that I could walk a little bit more freely.

Size: Marked XS , could fit sizes 4-6. May be able to fit a variety of sizes depending on chest measurements, as that is the only fitted area of the dress.

Measurements:
Bust: 32-34"
Waist: Varies
Length: 37" (just above the knee)

Condition: Good used condition, alteration slit in back. Some of the threads in the hem line are loose - I have found this to happen in many Prairie Underground garments, I think is has to do with the type of thread they use. Still plenty of wear left in it.

Paid: $220 about two years ago.
Asking: $80 including shipping in USA. International shipping is extra.

Listing ends December 3rd. Please leave your email in the comments. Feel free to email me with any questions at julia.kirsten.o@gmail.com

Sweet Anthropologie Cardigan

I bought this little sweater from Anthropologie two years ago to wear with a strapless dress that I wanted to wear to a few winter weddings. I fell in love with the color, the knit and most of all, the little lemon buttons. Unfortunately the dress that I wore it with doesn't fit anymore, so I can't justify keeping this sweater.

Style Description: Beautifully knit citron sweater, perfect for parties and weddings with a sweet little dress. I wore it with a black & white printed strapless dress. Slightly cropped fit, 3/4 length sleeves and smart little lemon buttons on either side. Slight gathering at sleeves, scalloped neckline. Hand wash.

* Please note that the true color of the sweater is not as bright as the front/back photos, but slightly more rich than the close-up photo. It's really a beautiful color.

Size
: Small, would also fit a medium, as it's a knit and therefore stretchy (I say this because I'm a medium but this sweater fits me!)

*Measurements*
Bust: 15.5" (x2) unstretched - keep in mind this is designed to be worn open, so the bust is flexible.
Waist: Open (21" x 2)
Shoulders: 14" across
Length: 16"

Condition: Clean and like new. Only worn twice.

Paid: approx. $69
Asking: $25 + $8 shipping / $15 international(PayPal only).
Listing end date: November 24, 2009 (if paid the same day, I'll ship before Thanksgiving!)

Built by Wendy Flags & Anchors Top

I bought this Built by Wendy top a few summers ago because I love the style and the anchor & flag embroidery. Sadly, I have only worn it once or twice and I am trying to pare down my closet for an impending move... so I am hoping I can send it somewhere it will get some wear! It's a great, versatile blouse.

Style Description: 100% cotton white Built by Wendy blouse with a long tie (looks great in a loose bow, in my opinion!), 3/4 length sleeves w/ short cuff, and most awesome flag and anchor embroidery. Slight open-v neck. Comfy looser fit with gathering at the front & back yokes. Perfect with jeans and a blazer or sweater and maybe some ankle boots too?

* My apologies for the wrinkly photos. I was in a rush to get to school when I took the photos. I will definitely iron it before I send it out!

Size
: Medium

*Measurements*

Shoulder: 14.25"
Bust: Open (20.5" x 2)
Waist: Open
Length: 25.5" (hits @ high hip)

Urban Vibe shield pumps, 6.5 (fit 7)

This is a pair of faux leather criss-cross pumps, or cutout booties or shield heels--whatever you wanna call them. They are awesome, and unfortunately too big for me. I have worn them out twice with gel insoles, yet they are still too loose :( The faux leather has a cool texture, gives it the edgy, weathered look. Rock them with dark skinnies, leggings, dresses, etc!

Size: 6.5, but IMO best for a 7 or even 7.5
Condition: almost new, worn out twice each time for less than 3 hours.
Material: man-made leather
Heels: approx. 4"

Asking: $26 - includes shipping within the US
Listing ends November 24

vintage Ferragamo bow flats, 7.5 (fit 7) 2A

This is a pair of the classic bow flat by Salvatore Ferragamo. They are elegant and classy, yet can be dressed up with a party dress or down with jeans. I scored them at a vintage boutique sometime last year, but have only worn them out twice. These are hard to come by nowadays and will last you a lifetime...I mean these must be from the 90s, and they are still in awesome condition! Grosgrain ribbon with gold toned hardware and Ferragamo insignia in the center.

Size: 7.5 2A - pretty narrow. I am normally a 6.5/7, and these fit me albeit a tad too big length-wise.
Material: genuine leather, made in beautiful Italy
Condition: vintage great condition. A few scuffs, but hardly noticeable since it is black leather. Could use a new sole as it is coming off a bit at the tip (interior).

Heel: approx. 1.5"

Price: $40 - includes shipping within the US. For international quote, please ask.
Listing ends November 24.

J.Crew Black Leather Belt with Brassy Hardware, size S

I just might be done cleaning out my closet (for now). This is a J.Crew black leather belt. Great for wearing over tunics or dresses. I don't like how low this sits on me so that's why I'm letting it go. I've worn it only a few times.

Measurements:
32" around at the middle hole. first and last holes are 1" away.
1.5" wide

Costs:
Paid $42, asking $20 + $4 s&h ($3 extra for Canada).

Vintage Manolo Blahnik Heels 38.5

Vintage Manolo Blahniks.  These have been used and loved but still have plenty of life left in them.  A good cobbler could bring them back to life (perhaps a dye job?)  These would look stunning in any darker color to hide some of the imperfections from the rain!  I personally love this pale salmony pink color.  These are also one of the most comfortable heels I've ever owned.
Paid: Retailed for over 600 paid 220 on sale
Why I'm letting them go: These have been sitting in my closet for some time so it's now time to pass them down and I have a newborn now and have almost  no use for heels anymore.

RELIST Marc Jacobs Buttery Leather Boots 38.5

Beautiful Marc Jacobs leather boot (Not Marc by Marc Jacobs) Worn a handful of times but due to the soft buttery leather, there are scuffs on heel and toe. Not noticeable when wearing. Zippers down back of boot with buckle closure. Inside of boot is very clean. Boot is in excellent condition aside from the noted scuffs. Please email me if you have any questions or need more photos.  These have been sitting in a box at the back of my closet so it's time they go.

Mike and Chris Bartholemew Bag

Mike and Chris Bartholemew Bag. Brand new, unused. Black tote in the squishiest, softest leather, lined in striped olive satin. Large outer pocket, smaller inner pocket with key hook. Square-handles, heavy brass accents, long messenger strap that can be unhooked. Smells incredibly yummy. 12 inches wide, 16 inches long, and about 4.5 inches deep. Strap drop is about 16 inches. While the bag is roomy, it lies very flat and isn't too overwhelming.

It hurts me to sell this bag, but I bought it last year and have never carried it. Retailed for $895, would swap for a comparable purse/coat or sell for $350 including shipping.

Burning Torch Brown Suede Jacket

Chocolate brown Burning Torch suede jacket, size XS. Burning Torch is a high-end boutique line out of Los Angeles. The jacket is in impeccable condition as I've never worn it. Velvety soft nap on the outside and lined in fiery orange silk, it is a luxurious piece that is impeccably tailored. The color is actually darker than it seems in the picture; it is closer to the color of the cuffs.

Measurements: About 16 inches shoulder to shoulder, 21 inches long, and 18 inches at bust. Retailed for $550 2 years ago, would like to swap for another coat or purse (I'm 5'0, Petite XS) or would sell for $110 including shipping.

vintage Nine West leather riding boots

This is a pair of Nine West, or rather 9West [labeled back then], black genuine leather mid-calf riding boots. They are awesome, but unfortunately do not see the daylight very often because I have other boots. I also just had cleaned and polished them. The bottom sole still has a traces of dirt, but that is easily cleanable. Comes with no box, but will be packaged carefully.

Size: 7 - fits also a 6.5
Material: genuine leather
Condition: vintage, but it great condition ~ well taken care of. I stick in empty water bottles in each boot to maintain the shape.

Measurements:
1" heel
approx. 11" shaft - hits a bit above mid-calf for me (I'm 5'5")
Price: $40 - includes shipping within the US. For international quote, please ask.

Black Rabbit Fur Poncho

Fantastic vintage deadstock black rabbit fur poncho!
This is practically new, 100% genuine rabbit fur poncho. Really fun and warm and can be worn in many different ways.

Don't even know if this was ever worn. I purchased from high-end vintage store and it still had tags. Introduce some fur into your winter wardrobe. It's huge this season!
This is one size fit all.

Asking: $40 including shipping to Canada (add $5 for shipping to US, add$10 for shipping Internationally). Will be more if you want tracking or expedited shipping.

If interested please leave contact information in Comments section. Paypal preferred. The first person to claim this gets it!

Balenciaga Flap Bag in Ink

Balenciaga Flap Bag in Ink, purchased at Saks Off Fifth in 2006. Excellent used condition, probably carried no more than 10x.

Measurements: 10.5 inches wide, 7 inches tall and 4.5 inches deep at the bottom. Comes with mirrored pocket accessory, no tassels. Silver hardware, one inner zip pocket, canvas lining. Leather nameplate tag is marked "Balenciaga Paris", and on backside of tag marked, "159694 1669", and "made in italy" underneath. I don't think I have the original dustbag, have been storing it in a Marc Jacobs one that I am happy to include with the purse.

The leather is a stunning dark blue with indigo undertones. Smooshy and weathered in texture, no wear on corners.

I believe this retailed for $800-950 (current style has little to no hardware and retails for $995). I would like to swap for a Marc Jacobs handbag (or items for Petite XS 5'0 sized person) or sell for $300 including shipping. It's a great deal for a nearly new Balenciaga.

About: I purchased these boots at Toronto's Heel Boy back in Spring 2008. They were beautiful, they were on sale, and I remember telling myself that they would look great with the wardrobe I imagined cultivating in the future. Dimensions: Size 8 (feels true to size); Heel 1"; Height 17"; sole about 10" from toe tip to heel; calf circumference 15.25"

Condition: Like new.

Vintage color-block spectators Size 8

*This is a re-sale of the shoes listed here*

I bought these shoes from a wonderful lady on this blog but found, to my dismay, that I just cannot wear a size 8 in pointy shoes. A theme emerges!

Labeled 8.5 but narrow.

Strapless floral Shoshanna dress w/ ruched bodice, size 2

This is a BRAND NEW Shoshanna dress I purchased online a few months ago. Tag still attached - it has never been worn except to try it on and take this picture. The dress is very well made; the beautiful black-and-white floral pattern shell is 100% silk and comes fully lined (polyester lining), with a built-in corseted bodice to give it more structure. The bodice is gathered/ruched with a empire waist band and black piping accents. Falls to just about the knees. It is adorable and would be perfect to wear to a wedding or party!

Why I'm letting it go: I don't know what I was thinking because it was non-returnable and I am nowhere near a size 2. I guess I was feeling optimistic. Of course, I could not even get the zipper up all the way so I have to let it go even though I love it.

Size: 2 (note - would probably best fit those with an XS or S frame)
Original price: $300
Asking price: $75 + shipping
Payment method: Paypal only please.

Listing end date: Nov 30, or will extend to Dec. 15 if I don't get comments by then.

Let me know if you have questions and thanks for looking!

Top Shop Boutique Grey Woven Dress, size 10/38, 4-6 US

I purchased this dress online before there was a Topshop US and when the exchange rate was really bad (2:1). It is brand-new with the tags still attached! I did however hem the sleeves from elbow length to a typical short-sleeve, and it looks professional. (The thread is slightly lighter than the original but because the material color is flecked, not solid, and changes with the light, you can't tell the difference.) The material is a lightweight 60% cotton and 40% polyester. There's a subtle sheen to it when it catches the light. The black elastic at the waist runs all the way around and the there are slit pockets on the side seams. The neckline is boatneck. Note: the actual color is slightly darker than shown.

I ordered this a size too big which is why I've never worn it. It is meant to be worn loose and blouse-y on top. It's a size 10 UK, and I think it would fit a size 4-6 US...

Measurements:
15.25" across shoulders
19.75" across chest
15" across waist (but stretches)
35" total length
18.5" long from neck to top of waistband
15" long from bottom of waistband to hem

Costs:
Paid $110 (including exorbitant s&h charges), asking $39 + $4 s&h ($3 extra for Canada).

Listing End Date:

Anne Brennan Pieced Top, size S

This is a really unique top from London! I purchased this from a boutique that I think was solely the designer's. (The material label is hand-written so I'm pretty sure it was a small independent operation.) The top colored pieces are woven while the body is brushed jersey. The material is 100% cotton for the poplin and 96% cotton/4% lycra for the jersey. All of the buttons at the shoulder are functional. I've worn this about a dozen times, so it's not in new condition. There are no marks or holes or other imperfections and there's plenty of life left. I always get compliments when I wear it, but it's just not getting worn as much anymore.

Measurements:
14" across shoulders
16.5" across chest
20" long from base of neck
23" long from shoulder to sleeve hem.

Costs:
Paid $?? I think upwards of $70 or so but there was a big 50-70% off sale going on, asking $12 + $3 s&h ($2 extra for Canada).

Listing End Date:

Coal Hood and Scarf combo, one size fits all. It's a chunky knit or 50% wool and 50% acrylic. The scarf can be fastened with a large wood button. Costs:
Paid $27 on sale from activeendeavors.com, asking $9 + $5 s&h ($3 extra for Canada).

Listing End Date:

Silence + Noise Full Black Skirt

Full Black Mini Skirt from Urban Outfitters. The label says size medium, but really the skirt fits like a small or xsmall, so please check the measurements. The material is 100% woven viscose and has a very soft hand. The waist is a 1.25" wide elastic band. There are two slit pockets on the front. I'm letting this go because I like to keep more of my legs covered up. It's been worn once or twice.

Measurements:
Waist: 26" around, can comfortably stretch to 29-30".
Length: 15"

Costs:
Paid $35, asking $10 + $4 s&h ($3 extra for Canada).

Listing End Date:

Silk knot necklace from Urban Outfitters. See it modeled here:
http://wikstenmade.blogspot.com/2009/07/haircut.html

Costs:
Paid $20, asking $9 + $3 s&h ($2 extra for Canada).

[CONGRATS, Nicole!] Korean fashion tunic, sm/med

I bought this gorgeous top over the summer in Taipei, but have only worn it once. It's a peach blush color with an elastic banding at the waist--so you can wear it higher when pairing it with shorts, or you can choose to wear it lower with white skinnies and jeans. There is a button on the side of each sleeve. The embroidery is so pretty and unique on this tunic ~ reminds me of Anthropologie *2nd pic is with flash

Size: marked one size fits all, but IMO best for a small or medium
Material: 65% acryl+35% poly
Condition: Like new, worn once
Imported from Korea.

Purchased: $45
Price: $24, includes shipping within the US; for international quote, please ask me

{sold to Justyna!] Marc by Marc Jacobs Cool Mary Jane Pumps sz 37 w/ Box

Hi all,

This listing, I hope, is very much in the spirit of the blog. These are super adorable Marc by Marc Jacobs mary jane pumps with heels at a manageable 2 3/4". These are shoes I could keep wearing, but I thought I would add them to the mix of postings because lately I've had a number of more expensive items on The General Economy. I hope posts like this can balance it out.

Size: IT 37 will fit either a US 6.5 or 7. I wear US 7, and they fit perfectly.

Condition: As you can see from the last two photos, the leather covered heels are a little nicked up. (I hope you don't mind given the price I"ll be asking!)

However, the uppers -- the important part -- are in MINT condition with nary a scratch or scuff.
They still look great. And will come in its original box and plastic storage bags!

Paid: According to the receipt from Bergdorf's I found nestled inside, I paid $370 for them.
Asking: $37 + $9 shipping. A few more to international locations...These would be ideal for someone who has always wanted to own a pair of Marc Jacobs's shoes but found them priced out of their price range.

Listing end: November 16, 2009. As always leave email or comments in the comments section.

{relist + $20 discount} "Souris River" coat by Manoush, US size 8

The back story: I hunted this coat down last winter after selling out everywhere on Anthropologie, revolveclothing.com. I ended up getting it on eBay from a reputable seller. Problem was, the seller failed to give me the correct dimensions, tell me the sleeves were 3/4 length and that the last snap didn't snap. Rest assured it doesn't make much of a difference--as you can see it can be worn buttoned or not and looks fabulous either way. (Sad story short: the seller didn't respond at all to my inquiries about getting a refund or even a return. Which is why I'm turning to laws readers.)

Why I'm parting with it: Being too tight in the bust is the #1 reason this is going up for sale, and #2 for someone to enjoy. It's a thing of beauty this coat, but it was something I paid a lot of money for and it's just not right being locked and unworn in a dark closet!

Details: Brand is French-based Manoush. Condition is new, just tried on by me. Size tag on jacket is a US size 8, not EU 8.
• Color - Grey
• Shell: 55% wool 45% viscose
Trim: 84% poly 16% elastane
Lining: 10)% acetate
• Dry clean only
• Side slit pockets
• Front ruffle bib with jeweled accents.

:: Measurements that I took off the item that will be sold ::
Bust: 18.5"
Length: 34"
Sleeve length: 18" (it is a 3/4 sleeve!)
Shoulder-to-shoulder: 15.5"

Price: This is a beautiful, well-structured, quality investment coat. It retailed for $327 and I paid a little more than that in my winning eBay bid.

Yours for $230
incl shipping (a value of about $20). I debated putting it up again on eBay but I've found a good home for my clothes here on laws and want to keep supporting this great blog.

PayPal preferred; please let me know if you are an international bidder as that affects pricing.

Listing ends: November 20 (so I can get it to you by Thanksgiving!)

Leave your e-mail in the comments section please. Thanks for looking! And ask me questions! I know this is an investment so please ask away.

H&M Party Skirt - Size 8

I bought this skirt from H&M last December to wear to a New Year's party. I loved the lightish pink/nude lace and planned to wear it with a black top and black tights. I was in a hurry and just grabbed my usual H&M size 8 and bought the skirt without trying it on. Well, it didn't fit and I was stuck with it because I went back to the store and they were sold out. So it has sat in my closet for a year, and now I'm hoping it will get to be worn by someone this party season.

Style Description: Fully-lined skirt with nude/pink lace overlay, wide waistband, front and back pleating, side pockets (!) and invisible zipper. I think this skirt is designed to be worn higher on the waist, and when it is it sits slightly above the knee. It has a fitted waist and open hips. Would look great with black tights and boots for winter.

Size
: 8

*Measurements*

Waist: 14.5" (x 2)
Hips: Open (23" x 2)
Length: 23"

Condition: Clean and like new. Never worn.

Marais USA Mercer Flat - Size 7

I bought these Marais USA flats with plans to wear them into the fall with black tights and a cute dress. Unfortunately, after buying two pairs of shoes from Marais I've come to the conclusion that I'm in between sizes with them and so they won't really fit me. I'm usually a 7.5 - 8, so I bought a 7 because their shoes run large. These are a hair too small for me, so I think they would fit a true size 7, or a smaller 7.5. These shoes have never been worn outside, just in my apartment while I tried desperately for them to fit.

Style Description: These are in the color Nude. From the website: "Patent ballerina flat with cut-out detailing at the sides. Rounded toe. Shows slight toe cleavage. Rubber sole. Fully lined. Padded heel."

Size
: 7. Marais USA says their shoes run large. I'm usually a 7.5 and the 7 was just a teensy bit too tight on me.

*Measurements*
Length of inside sole: 9.25"

Condition: Clean and like new. Never worn.

Paid: $52 + shipping
Asking: $22 + $8 shipping / $15 international(PayPal only).

Adorable APC Dress Sz Small

This is an adorable APC dress you don't see often. It's in near mint condition. Has a ruched neckline with a tied ribbon detail around the collar. There is single pocket.

Unfortunately, it's from an era when APC didn't make XS so I bought their dresses in Small and hoped that I'd get around to altering them. I never had time to do it with this dress, so it's untouched and simply too big for me. (I actually planned to have this made into a tunic top!) Hopefully someone else will discover that it's one of their favorites.

Styling notes: I think this dress looks great belted. (Doesn't come with belt.)

Measurements (measured flat across):

bust 18.5"
waist 19"
length: 36"

Paid: can't remember, but probably $250-270

Asking: $85 +10 shipping ($3 more to Canada)

Develop by Philip Lim Moleskin Overcoat with Stand Up Collar Sz 2

This is a fantastic coat by Philip Lim from the days when he was designing for the company Development. I'd read about him in Vogue, and when I found that his designs at Joyce, the fancy Hong Kong boutique, I was pretty excited. (I hadn't been able to locate them in the US.)

This coat is totally reminiscient of Helmut Lang. It's cotton moleskin with a stand up collar, features a covered placket, single vent in the back, three interior buttons in the stand up collar, four buttons on the cuffs, two pockets on the left side and one on the right. It's completely lined in a black cotton.

In terms of the fabric weight, it's very much a mid to late fall coat rather than a winter coat.

This is a really fabulous coat I think someone will *love*. It's very narrow cut -- the best thing about shopping in Asia is that I don't have to get anything altered! It's especially good for those of you who are small boned have difficulty finding winter coats that don't overwhelm your frame.

Styling notes: I added a final photo in which I am wearing a huge funnel knit collar/scarf -- I recommend doing something similar if you have such a scarf.

Condition: very good pre-owned condition. Will be dry-cleaned before being sent -- I factored dry-cleaning into the price I'm asking.

Color: very dark navy blue.

Measurements: 15"
Bust: 34 (can accommodate up to a c cup as my busty dress form could attest)
Length: 34.5"

Why I'm giving this up: going minimal. Also, sadly went from four closets for myself to one large closet shared with a partner.

Paid: $380
Asking: $125 + $8 for shipping

{relist} Marc by Marc Jacobs F/W 07 *Turnlock Quinn* Handbag

I bought this two years ago from Barneys Co-op in NYC and since then Marc Jacobs has discontinued this original Totally Turnlock Quinn bag design (the current Quinn bag in stores has different detailing). This is THE perfect carry-all everyday bag with the signature Marc by Marc Jacobs slouchy-cool twist on the classic Hermes Birkin silhouette. Editing down my accessories collection, and I don't wear this bag anymore, so I'm letting this gem in my collection go. Comes from a smoke-free home.
Materials: 100% soft, thick and durable tumbled black Italian leather, signature brass Marc by Marc Jacobs brass hardware and protective brass feet at bottom
Style Description: Super-chic everyday shoulder bag with gorgeous craftsmanship in all the details.
Very roomy and holds at least a magazine, wallet and water bottle.
(Interior) - Main turnlock flap compartment opens to three interior pockets: 1) large zip pocket with slot for wallet and valuables; 2) cell phone slot; 3) smaller slot for keys, organizer, etc.
(Exterior) - Two large pouchy pockets on either side with magnetic snap button closure, especially handy for accessing your phone, iPod, etc.
Condition: Worn a few times, in excellent, virtually new condition.

Measurements:
bag dimensions: 15
" (L) x 13" (W) x 7"(D) - lots of room for all your daily necessities
shoulder strap drop = 8.5" (sits under arm comfortably)
shoulder strap width = 1.25" (very comfortable and cushiony straps)

Paid: ~$480 from Barneys Co-op NYC
Asking: $295 with shipping (PayPal/shipping to US only)

{congrats, allison!}
This is from the fall 2008 Twinkle collection. Wenlan Chia is known for her lovely and innovative knitwear (check out her cool knitting books too!) Black Gharani Strok Dress, Size Small *Re-Listing With a Lower Asking Price*

Black drapey dress from British designer Gharani Strok, size small (uk 10, euro 36, US 6). It's from the A/W 2004 collection. It's 100% wool, but the material doesn't feel woolly or heavy at all, it's soft and drapy. The dress is bias-cut.
Letting this go because it's too small for me.
Measurements are hard to take, because of the cut of the dress, but it fits true to size. The length is 120 cm/47 inch.
Top picture from gharanistrok.co.uk
Asking 25 euros, incl. worldwide shipping (shipping from the Netherlands). Payment via bank-transfer or PayPal, I prefer PayPal.
Listing ends the 14th of November.

Jil Sander for Puma High Top Trainers fits us sz 7

Hi all,

These are Jil Sander for Puma trainers. I bought these back when Jil Sander was actually still designing for Jil Sander. My friend had a pair of these that looked so cool, and I desperately wanted to be able to wear high top sneakers.

Alas, I wore these once and realized that I am too flat footed for sneakers to be comfortable. So they are, like much of what I am listing here, in mint condition. No scuff or scratches anywhere on the leather. The sole has no wear whatsoever. There is a tiny 1 mm mark next to the sole on the heel of the left shoe, a insignificant casualty from my quick walk in these shoes.

Size: they are listed as 38, but all the Pumas ran one size small. So I wear a 37 normally, and they fit perfectly.

They come in their original Jil Sander box. Says "Jil Sander" over the Puma stripe. So cool and minimalist.

Paid: Sigh. This has been humiliating for a long time, but I'll say: $180 on sale from $250. Perhaps this will teach me to stop buying things on sale even if I am not 100% they'll work for me.

Asking: $55 + $10 shipping $5 more to Canada

Listing end: November 16, 2009 *as always email in comments, please!

ZARA light beige bermudas - size 26/27

Here is a pair of ZARA bermudas in a versatile light beige color--goes with everything. It has two little button on the hem and trouser slit pockets in the back. They are stretchy, but fit so slim. The size is actually marked an 8, but I feel like it'd best fit a 26/27 because they are too small for me

Size: marked an 8, but fits slim so best for 2/4 or 26/27
Condition: These are in good used condition with some pilling

Measurements:
-waist approx. 15" unstretched
-hip 17"
-thigh approx. 8.75"
-inseam 13"

Retailed: $39
Asking: $12 - includes shipping within the USA; for international quote please ask me.
Listing ends: November 21

Free People pretty red babydololl, size 8/s/m

Details details details! This top is so beautiful. It was love at first sight, but sadly I have only worn this top once for a couple hours (for my bday dinner ), so it's practically brand new. It's too pretty to just live in a closet. There are violet flowers, little sequins, gold lining, buttons in the back, and a satin ribbon tie. It has a curvy hem, so it is longer in the front and back while shorter at the sides. Gives a pretty flowy illusion!

Size: marked an 8, but best fit for a small or medium
Material: 100% cotton
Condition: Like new, worn once

Retailed: $88
Asking: $24 - includes shipping within the USA; for international quote please ask me.

{taken! Congrats Gwyn!} Sigerson Morrison Embossed Leather Pull-on Boots fits 7.5 or 7

These are pretty amazing embossed leather boots from Sigerson Morrison. The square-ish shape of the shaft gives it a distinctly 60s feel. When I bought these boots, I was desperate to find a boot in this shape, and the fact that it's sort of a riding boot that can *also* be worn slouchy made it possible for me to pay.full.retail.price.

Long story short, I have only worn them a couple of times, which is such a shame because they're so cool. I'm really trying to rectify some past "undesirable" shopping habits by editing down to a bare, bare minimum. Very hard. (If only you could see the process that I have to go through of deciding before anything even makes it to this blog...)

They come in their original sleeper. If you want, I can send their original box (but for a couple of extra dollars since it's a huge box.)

Sizing: says 8.5 US, but it runs one entire size small. In other words, I normally wear a 7.5 in Sigerson Morrison, 7 in Marc Jacobs, etc. The great thing about these boots is that the shaft is not particularly narrow, as many boots are (hence you can wear them scrunched down should you desire.) Pull on, so no zippers anywhere. Extremely comfortable.

Condition: nearly new. There is a tiny bit of wear on the heel - 2 mm, perhaps.

Heel height: .5"
Opening: 14.5"
Calf widest point: 14"
Ankle: 12.5"
Total boot height, including heel: 14"

Paid: as you might know, Sigerson Morrison boots are insanely expensive. :( These were $680.
Asking: $240 + 10 shipping ($5 more for box, a few more dollars to Canada) Given their condition and original price, I hope you'll think this is a deal as I do!

Listing end: November 13 *leave email in comments, and feel free to ask if you have more questions about sizing.

Franco sarto heels

Beautiful Franco Sarto suede heels. Jade green color with black heel and peep toe. I bought these awhile back but have never worn them outside of my apartment, as they are ever so slightly too large for me. Perfect condition. 3 1/2" heel. I'm hoping that I can find someone who can get some wear out of these.

Franco Sarto suede heels
Never worn, except to try on
Size 8 (although I would say there are slightly larger than a true size 8)

Retailed: at least $85; asking: $20
End date: November 31st

Let me know if you have any questions. Also, I can only ship within the U.S. and cannot accept returns. Thanks!

Great Vintage Leather Jacket with Hood XS-S

Hi all,

This is a great vintage leather jacket with -- a rarity -- a fully hood in matching rust colored leather. I am actually trying to pare down my coat and jacket collection. As improbable as it may seem, it *is* possible to have to many of them.

Details:
-banded cuffs and waist
-great seam details in the back
-ruched detailing at shoulders and two front pockets
-HUGE, i.e., functioning and useful hood
-fully lined

Measurements:
Shoulder: 15"
Bust: 34"
Waist: 29"
Sleeve length: 22"
Jacket length: 18"

Condition: very good vintage condition. There is slight wear at the expected corners, though not significant. There is some wear to the lining. There is a small cut in the jacket below the left bust that is .5" -- you can see it in photo #3. (I think it must have happened during my move...) Still, I think it's reasonably minor and does not in any way detract from the jacket, so long as you don't mind it. In any case, I've taken it into consideration in the pricing of the jacket. The leather is sturdy and in great condition for its age. You will have many, many years of wear from this jacket.

Why I'm letting go of the jacket: I think it's time to let someone else enjoy the jacket. And my closet is an embarrassment of riches when it comes to jackets.

Paid: $65 at a fancier vintage boutique in Chicago.
Asking: $40 + 7 postage ($5 more to Canada)

Listing end: November 12 -- leave email in comments!

Yanuk Worker Boyfriend Jeans sz 25

I got these jeans hemmed and never wore them. Sigh.

99% cotton, 1% spandex

Rise 7 1/2"
Waist 15 1/2"
Inseam 29 1/2"

styling notes: these are meant to be fit slightly loose, hence the shorter inseam. I would wear them rolled up at the bottom, but they have a straight boot cut leg.

Condition: Brand new but hemmed.

Paid $150?
Asking $25 including shipping, $3 more to Canada

Listing end: Nov 15, include email in comments!

Jungal Herringbone Merino Wool Coat, size 2 [relist]

Jungal herringbone wool coat in size 2. The color is an alternating dark brown and orangey-tan speckled mix. The material 80% merino wool (MUCH better quality than your typical wool coat), 20% nylon, and it's fully lined in 100% polyester satin with piping trim. This is a very warm coat. All four pockets are functional. The only imperfection is on the buttons for the cuffs (x2). I think they got scratched somehow, so there's light white marks on the buttons (2nd photo). I'm letting this go because it's too overwhelming for my 5'0" frame. It's been worn about a dozen times.

Measurements:
15" across the shoulders
17.25" across the bust
15.25" across the waist
22.25" from shoulder to sleeve hem (sleeves were professionally hemmed)
35" long from the base of the neck

Costs:
Paid $370 (orig. $740 from active endeavors), asking $79 (was $109) + $12 s&h ($3 extra for Canada).

{relist} bnwt Built by Wendy cord pants, size 4

woodsy cords from Built by Wendy! the color is a bit off on my camera since the brown of the pants doesn't have that much yellow in it. the color is more of a taupe-y brown. the pockets have a nice tree embroidery. these would look great with, well, pretty much anything!! yay neutrals :) there are some slight creases on the lower pant legs due to storage (can be ironed out i think) but it is in otherwise excellent condition.

16" diameter for the leg opening
