[SOLD] Helmut Lang black skinny corduroy pants - size 27

{congrats, emily!}
I bought these on sale at Barney's Co-op last fall, but sadly they're just too big for me and since I got them hemmed by my tailor, I couldn't return them. The corduroy is really soft and made with a very fine wale, so the handfeel is super soft and plush. It's got a slim cut throughout the leg, but isn't so skinny that it's uncomfortable. Ideal for the fall and winter ahead, and perfect for tucking into boots! Comes from a smoke-free home.

Materials: 98% cotton corduroy, 2% elastane

Style details:
-signature 'clean-look' Helmut Lang matte silver buttons
-mid-rise
-light crease-distressing around hip
-dart detailing on knee

Measurements of piece laying flat:
{I'm usually a 26 in designer jeans; the fit on these would be comfortably true to size for a true 27}
waist: 15"
inseam: 30"
hip: 16"
leg opening: 13"

Condition: brand new without tags, never worn. Drycleaned.
Paid: $110 on sale from Barney's Co-op NYC
Asking: $50 with shipping (PayPal/shipping to US only) SOLD

[SOLD] Steven Alan striped 'tailored-T' top (maroon/grey stripe) - M

{congrats, romaine!}
Same style as the light blue version; I bought this from the Steven Alan boutique last year, but I never wear it because it's just a bit too big on me. It's a really great signature Steven Alan twist on the classic t-shirt - done, of course, in a much more casual luxe cotton shirting fabric. I've included the photos of me wearing the same top in the light blue stripe to give an idea of its fit off the hanger. Very gamine chic :) Comes from a smoke-free home.
Size: M

Materials: 100% woven cotton shirting fabric
Style details:
-boatneck style
-straight body
-slightly curved hem
Measurements of piece laying flat:
Shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 14 inches
Bust: 17 inches

Length: 23.5 inches
Condition: brand new without tags.
Paid: ~$89
Asking: $45 with shipping (PayPal/shipping to US only) SOLD

[SOLD] Steven Alan striped 'tailored-T' top (light blue stripe) - M

{congrats, cko!}
I bought this from the Steven Alan boutique last year, but I never wear it because it's just a bit too big on me. It's a really great signature Steven Alan twist on the classic t-shirt - done, of course, in a much more casual luxe cotton shirting fabric. I took this to my tailor and got it taken in a little bit (compare measurements to the maroon/grey stripe version of this top). Very gamine chic :) Comes from a smoke-free home.

Parts and Labour Dress

I fell in love with this dress when I saw it at Parts and Labour in Austin. I tried it on in navy blue and the nautical stripes seen here, LOVED it, but have since decided the ruffles on the bust don’t really go with my look. With the nautical trend being quite popular right now, I know someone else will love and enjoy it even more than I!

Size: Small

Designer: CurryBeth Clothesline (http://currybeth.blogspot.com/)

Purchased at: Parts and Labour, Austin, TX

Worn: Never

Price Paid: $50

Price Asking: $35 + $5 shipping

Sorry for the sheisty photos! My only photo-taking abilities were with my Mac! All clothes in great condition! Post any questions...

Handmade Eyelet Blouse

front view:
back view:

About this item: I designed and made this piece last summer from cotton eyelet, quilting cotton, and a bit of nylon mesh. This sleeveless top has a slight A-line shape and is rather loose. It pulls over the top and ties at the back with homemade bias binding cut from a red quilting cotton with a tiny floral print in white. The body is a single layer of eyelet and slightly sheer; the yoke is a double layer. Bias binding was hand-sewn to the garment (if you enlarge the first image, you can see the inside of the garment at the back of the neck, and view the stitches), and the yoke was embroidered with a simple running stitch as well. Bias binding was also used to accent the base of the yoke.
Why I'm putting it up: Unfortunately, I haven't reached that level of confidence where I am comfortable wearing my own clothes, despite their meticulous construction. I wore this one once, just after I made it, and it's been on a hanger in the closet since then.
Sizing: I drafted this for myself on my dress form. I am 5'11", 34-26-36. Feel free to ask for other measurements if you like.
Asking: $10 to cover shipping and handling to continental US. (elsewhere, please just ask.)
End Date: August 6, 2009.

New Rag & Bone Navy/Ivory Cotton Cashmere Top, size 2 (fits 2-6 US)

front
label
back

Congratulations, Meaghan!

Item Description: Rag & Bone navy and ivory striped 100% cotton top. The cotton is Supima, and is soft as cashmere with a tissue-lightness that is perfect for spring and summer. Purchased from Metier, San Francisco in April, and it's been in the closet ever since.

Sizing and material: Size 2, but I am a size 6 and it fit perfectly, hanging loose while looking polished. This would probably fit a size 2 up to a 6 or even a small 8. The supima cotton is very, very soft and lightweight. This is not like a t-shirt at all, but more like a light cotton sweater. Slightly sheer, so you'll need to wear a cami underneath.

Why I am parting with it: I am making room for future purchases for fall. It's a gorgeous sweater but that pesky ivory doesn't look good with my skin color!

Condition: New without any imperfections whatsoever. Perfect!

Measurements: with material unstretched ;
Bust - 40";
sleeve length - 8";
Length from neck to hem - 23";
shoulders - not really able to measure since the sleeve flows out from the shoulder seam. I am 16" across, and this is perfect!

Retail: $165 from Metier, San Francisco -- purchased in April 2009

Asking: $60 plus shipping

End Date: August 6, 2009
