This is an awesome, awesome, awesome dainty quartz-dipped necklace by Laura Lombardi that I bought back in the fall. It's a purple-ish quartz stone dipped in 24 karat gold, on a vintage brass chain with a lobster-claw clasp. The necklace measures 20 inches and the stone is 1 inch.
I bought this necklace from Laura in September at Renegade in Chicago. I chose a crystal that wasn't fully dipped in gold, so one side looks gold (as in the above picture) and the other side has about fifty percent gold and fifty percent quartz showing. The stone is a gorgeous, light purple that changes depending on what color you wear it with. It was in heavy rotation for about 6 months, with almost daily wear, and it shows signs of patina. The lobster clasp, which started off as a brass-color, is now rubbed down to silver. The gold edges along the stone have also been worn down slightly and look silvery now. I think it's still beautiful, but it's definitely not shiny & new.
