{SOLD} isabel marant etoile, jabar dress, size 1 (4-6)

Congrats, Tien-Ann!

lovely wool isabel marant etoile dress, size 1, from the fall/winter 2007 season.

soft and light as air wool dress with small snaps down the front, pockets, and a tie in the back that you can cinch at the waist. purchased from totokaelo in january 2008, worn just a handful of times. the color is difficult to capture, but it's a soft grey-mauve-lilac with a slight sheen

shoulders 14 1/2"
chest 20"
length 39"

i'm very sorry to give this dress up, but i've come to realize that i don't like to wear this type of silhouette because it 'hides' my waist. for someone with wide hips and broad shoulders, this isn't the most flattering look. i also found the shoulders to be a little too tight. i probably would have been better off with a 2, although the rest of the dress is quite roomy.

there are a few small imperfections, which i don't think detract from the dress.
1. the dress arrived from Totokaelo with 3 visible 'holes' which aren't rips in the fabric but likely caused by the stitching that pulls down part of the fabric. you can see this 'pulling' in a few other places, but these 3 holes are the most noticeable. i don't think these pulls negatively impact the integrity of the fabric
2. the back tie opening has frayed in one of the two holes. this can easily be reinforced by stitching it as you would with a button-hole.

asking price:
paid $320 on sale, asking $100 (includes dry-cleaning and shipping in the US. email for other
countries)
shipping to Canada will be either $12 or $22 depending on whether i can fit the dress into the small flat rate box. if you are the winner, i will give you a shipping estimate when the listing closes.

end date:
