CONGRATS TO AILEEN!
This is an authentic navy pea coat sized for women. Winter on the west coast has been very mild so far and I really don't need something this substantial. It would be a great piece for all you ladies in the Midwest and East coast, for sure! Lots of snow and frigid weather to deal with right now, from what I hear.
This coat is used, but has a ton of life left in it. I've never worn it and it only had one other owner before me. It was purchased at a naval base and it's completely authentic and American made, if that sort of thing is important to you.
The tag inside the coat says 8R as the size. It does run small because I normally wear a size 2 or 4 in winter coats and jackets.
Approximate measurements are as follows:
Shoulder to shoulder: 17.5 inches
Armpit to armpit: 18 inches
Shoulder to hem: 27.5 inches
*Please excuse the state of the photos. They're a little washed out due to my camera being sub-par. The coat is a lot nicer in person.
Other details:
-Color: Black
-Material: 100% wool
-Very cute anchor buttons
-Some very minor pilling on the lining but I was able to shave almost all of it off
-It has been boxed up in storage, so you may want to have it dry cleaned or you can just air it out.
Asking: $25 + $13 (med. flat rate box) or $17 (large flat rate box) shipping w/ delivery confirmation - This coat is quite heavy and substantial. I'm going to try to fit it in a USPS medium flat rate priority shipping box. However, the shipping cost might be a few dollars more if I can't fit it in the medium sized box.

hi, I am interested in this but confused by the dimensions, specifically how the shoulder width is shorter than the armpit width. can you please clarify?
thanks, amy

The measurements of the coat were taken laying flat.
So from one end of the shoulder to the other, it's 17.5 inches laying flat.
From armpit to armpit lying flat it is approximately 18. Double that and you have a rough measurement of the bust. So about 36 inches all the way around.
If you're still interested, leave your email in the comments.
Thanks!
