H&M Party Skirt - Size 8

I bought this skirt from H&M last December to wear to a New Year's party. I loved the lightish pink/nude lace and planned to wear it with a black top and black tights. I was in a hurry and just grabbed my usual H&M size 8 and bought the skirt without trying it on. Well, it didn't fit and I was stuck with it because I went back to the store and they were sold out. So it has sat in my closet for a year, and now I'm hoping it will get to be worn by someone this party season.

Style Description: Fully-lined skirt with nude/pink lace overlay, wide waistband, front and back pleating, side pockets (!) and invisible zipper. I think this skirt is designed to be worn higher on the waist, and when it is it sits slightly above the knee. It has a fitted waist and open hips. Would look great with black tights and boots for winter.

Size
: 8

*Measurements*

Waist: 14.5" (x 2)
Hips: Open (23" x 2)
Length: 23"

Condition: Clean and like new. Never worn.

Paid: $49
Asking: $20 + $8 shipping / $15 international(PayPal only).

Listing end date:
November 15, 2009 * ENDED *

Congrats, Valeda! I sent you an email.

This is an adorable skirt! I know H&M sizing tends to run pretty small, would you say, then, that this skirt runs smaller than their normal sizing? Like, it could fit a 4/6?

Lin,

I think it depends on how you want the skirt to fit. Based on my own judgement, it would probably fit a 6, but it would sit lower on the waist. I would compare the measurement of your waist to the skirt and see where it falls. The waist is the only fitted part of the skirt.
