Hi all,
A while back, I posted a pair of Marc by Marc Jacobs boots in a rich brown -- these are my *other* pair, which I have worn once. The color is called "military." Photos #2 and #3 capture the richness and depth of the color best.
As the temperature slips, these boots seem perfect. In the next four months, I think you'll reach for them again and again. They are extraordinarily comfortable, crafted from a buttery nappa leather. The brass pulls are heavy and embossed with "Marc".
Very versatile style. Very.
Why I'm getting rid of them: I purchased both pairs at the Marc by Marc Jacobs boutique in Boston in two colors. I've only worn one pair and now I have to clear my closet because our new house in DC is quite old and, as a consequence, is really lacking storage.
style: ankle height boot, vintage styling
heel height: 1"
material - buttery soft leather, lined in black leather
color - "military" - the second photo captures the color perfectly.
size: US 7, Italian 37.5 (runs true to size)
I purchased these a half size from what I usually wear so that I could wear thicker socks with the boots in winter and fall. Marc Jacobs, does not run small at all.
These boots fit me perfectly with medium or thick socks and tights. My foot is medium width. Zips up along inside of the boot. (For comparison, I wear 37 Marc Jacobs, 37 Prada/Miu Miu, 37.5 Pierre Hardy heels, 37 Pierre Hardy flats, 37 Lanvin, 37.5 Lanvin ballerina flats, 37 Acne - remember, I bought these a half size larger than what I usually wear!)
Measurements
opening of boot: 9.5"
Insole length (measured from bottom of shoe): 9 3/4"
heel height: 1"
total height of boot: 8. 5"
Paid: $380
Asking: I asked $140 + $12 shipping ($6 more to Canada) for the unworn pair.
I am asking $115+ 12 shipping ($6 more to Canada) for this pair, worn once.
Listing end date: I am ending this as soon as possible so that you can begin wearing them as soon as possible: October 22 (please leave your contact info in the comments!) If there are no takers, the end date will be October 30, 2009.
Thanks!
