I must have bought these shoes after a long day of walking around (ie swollen feet) or my feet have shrunk because I have recently found that they seem to be a bit loose on me but they are so comfortable and flattering (they give the illusion of mile long legs!) so I put some inserts in them and wore them anyway. They were worn about 4-5 times and do have a few scuffs on the heels (see the pictures below) but they are not too visible. They could probably be buffed out by a shoe/leather repair shop. The damage inside the sole (see below) is from taking out the insole.
They are 38, best suited for a US 8, perhaps a 7.5. I'm usually a US 7 with a wide foot and wear anywhere from a 36.5-38 depending on the shoe, and on a normal day these are a little on the loose side with a heel and insole insert but they may work for a 7.5 with or without an insert.
