I bought these jeans from Totokaelo in Seattle and have only worn them once because they are tight at my waist. I have hung on to them thinking I would shrink, but alas it has not happened. Too bad because I think the fit is really cool. I saw a friend who had these and I had to order them for myself. Anyway, here are the details:
They are high waisted and have a sailor style flared leg.
They have a starched crisp feel that makes them look clean and tailored for jeans.
They may get softer once they are washed - but they have never been washed so far.
There is a seam (not sure what to call it...a tiny pinch that is sewn together) along the front of each leg which again, makes them look pressed and very clean.
The color is a slate blue/grey. (i am including a photo from the totokaelo flikr site which features the same jeans in black, to give you an idea of the fit)
The size is 28, and here are the measurements:
The waist lying flat across is 14"
The rise is 11"
The inseam is 30 1/4"
The hips across are 18"
The thigh across is 10"
The knee across is 8"
The bottom hem across is 11"
I don't remember how much I paid but I believe it was around 200.
