About: Purchased in 2008, worn a handful of times. Very neat design with horizontal tucks woven in at the inner elbows and along the back, creating a nice subtle shape to the sweater so you're not floating in a sea of black... love that the tucks on the elbows are left open so that you can keep a pen or pencil there if you are writing!
Color: Straight up black, photos are a little faded due to flash.
Material: 100% wool, alpaca+merino blend
Condition: gently used, a few pills here and there but easily removed with an electric pill shaver or by hand. I took out the neck tags as they irritated my sensitive skin.

hi veuve, it is an open sweater, but can overlap and be belted or pinned. i am not sure what a "shawl collar" means but there is a ribbed part along the front and neck which can be folded down like a collar or kept up around your neck. if you have any more questions feel free to email me at prefijomio at aol dot com.
