I fell in love with the print of this Laura Ashley dress, but then after I got it I just... never really wore it. So silly.
The dress has got a beautifully draped top (I especially love the draping in the back) and a little keyhole neckline. It's fully lined, and the outer shell is a light, flowy, slightly sheer 100% silk.
In the pictures, the dress looks slightly out of proportion - that's because the skirt is cut on the bias. It also looks like the outer shell is a lot longer than the lining, but when you wear the skirt the proportions change, and there's no longer a visible sheer strip. Just making sure :)
Because the skirt is cut on the bias, it's hard to give exact measurements. The dress is labeled as a US size 12, EU 42, UK 16, and I'd say it fits true to size. On me (5'10''), the skirt hits just below the knee.
Now that I look at the pictures here, it looks like the print is in black. It's actually in light shades of blue.
