Narrow Black Trousers by Humanoid, Size M (2x!)

A.k.a. my funniest e-bay story of 2009. In a temporary lapse of reason, I bid on two of the exact same pairs of Humanoid trousers (thought I was gonna lose one, started bidding on the other...). And then when they came in the mail... I hadn't checked the measurements well enough, they were too short! Ah well... hopefully they can find new homes now. I've only tried on one of them for a few minutes, but other than that, they are completely new, tags attached.
These are beautiful deep black narrow-cut trousers in a cotton/linnen blend (52% cotton, 48% linnen) by the Dutch label Humanoid. Size M. Double botton closure, drawstring through the back that can be tied in the front. One lined pocket on the back, two side-pockets. On the bottom of the legs are little extra pleats of fabric, to let the trousers sit smoothly over your shoes.
They've been hiding in my closet for a while, I'll iron them before I send them out.
Measurements: waist, 42 cm/16,5 inch, length 103 cm/40,5 inch, inseam, 79 cm/31 inch
I'll ask a little less than what I paid for them - paid 20 euros each, asking 17,50 euros each, which includes worldwide shipping. Shipping from the Netherlands.

[sold} Marni Patent Platform Heel Scrunch Boots New sz 37

Hi all,

I listed these on eBay and decided that I would rather list them here and ask for $250 less than I was asking for on eBay -- to avoid the hassle of selling on eBay mostly. And then it occurred to me that this would be a perfect item for trading.

Here they are -- they are authentic, from a Marni boutique in Japan (there are several.) It was a vacation + sale purchase, which meant, invariably, that I bought shoes that were too high for me, too expensive and too small. They are brand new, never worn.

Expensive lesson.

I paid something like $550 and on sale from $950 but am recently editing my closet to reflect the reality that I can't wear any heels above 3". I am asking $285 including shipping though I originally asked $495 to recoup my expense on eBay (both a bargain, really, for brand new Marni.) Another reason why I am asking for so little is simply that the box is big and is taking up and has been taking up a lot of space and I've been moving this box around my office for so long (and I have even more books than clothes) I'm okay with selling it for such a reduced amount so long as someone will have a chance to enjoy it!

These boots would best fit someone who wears a US 6.5. They are comparable in size to a Christian Louboutin 37, Lanvin 37, YSL 37, Marc Jacobs 36.5 (have other questions about sizing? Feel free to msg me.) I wear 37.5 in Lanvin, YSL, Louboutin, Acne, Opening Ceremony and I think they are half a size too small for me.

Calf (measured where boot gathers): 13" -- to determine if these will fit, measure your calf 6.5" from the base of the heel, since they are meant to loose around the calf, you do not need a very narrow calf for these boots to fit, but it would narrow is better than wide when it comes to this style.
Insole length (measured from bottom of shoe): 10" (insole is appx 9 5/8")
heel height: 4" including 1/4" platform
total height of boot: 13"

Rachel Comey Bergen Heel - Size 9.5

Rachel Comey Bergen Heel in Bone suede. Wood sole, 1" platform, 4" heel. This is really comfortable to walk in. Beautiful color, I love the tassel and fringe. This is a bit slim at the toe area and when it was on sale, the general advice was to go up 1/2 size.

Sadly for this shoe I think I am a size 9, and after much to-ing and fro-ing have decided to let this go.

Used around the apartment only. If you look at the photos there is a small mark on one toe area. This gets covered by the toes, and may be removed by some cleaning, but I thought I should point it out.

Heike Jarick is a German born designer, whose exclusive line of clothing sells at selective stores in the US and internationally. This is a beautiful dress, size 8, worn once and dry cleaned. I still have the original tag.

As much as I like this dress, I don't see myself wearing it a lot and would like it to go to someone who can love it AND wear it.

The color is best described as an oyster shade with subtle shimmer. It's like a cross between a cream and a silvery gold, if that makes sense. It would be gorgeous to wear for the upcoming holidays.

The measurements are a little difficult because I think the dress can accommodate a variety of sizes due to the style. Laying flat, underarm to underarm is about 14-15 inches across but there is quite a bit of stretch there. I think it would fit a 34-36 (bra size) well. From top of shoulder strap to hem is about 40 inches long. It is a little shorter in the front which gives a very flattering shape.

It retailed for $380, I paid about $240 and I'm asking $80 plus $5 shipping.

This is a beautiful little black dress for upcoming holiday events. I've worn it about 3 times and have always gotten complimented on it. It has great details that are difficult to see in the photos, like a silk tie around the bodice just under the breasts, and silk ruffles on the left side of the hem.

It measures about 16 inches across the bodice area. I wear a 34A in bra sizes and it fits fine. I think it would fit a size B also. I wear a size 4 in dresses, typically, and size 6 in pants, to give you an idea.

The narrowest part of the dress is about 28 1/2 inches (but this is higher than your "natural" waist) and is about 41 1/2 inches long from top of strap to hem. I've always worn it with the straps,but I think it would look very nice strapless if you tuck the straps in.

It is very figure flattering and waiting for a new owner!

It retailed for about $260, I paid about $150 and am asking $40 plus $5 shipping.

Vintage silk tiered dress

Beautiful dress for sale. No tags but I believe it is a vintage creation from a designer (looks like something Armani might have made) as it was purchased from a wealthy family.

Fabric looks to be silk. In good vintage condition; as the fabric is delicate there are a few areas of wear and I will be happy to send additional photos. Doesn't detract from the beauty of this dress!

Would be great for a formal event. If you're creative you could probably dress it up or down, Kate Moss style, maybe with a belt.

Fits size 4-6, has some stretch so may fit other sizes as well. Measures approximately 15" at the waist while lying flat and 17" at the bust.

I purchased it and had it dry cleaned but never wore it. It's waiting for a new home!

RELIST: Vintage Italian navy blue lace dress/tunic - 8

Up for sale is a vintage dress from my collection, label Alba Fornari and made in Italy.

It's labeled an Italian size 42, made of 87% cotton with 13% "poliammide" (nylon). It zips up in the back. The lace is what drew me to it, it's a soft-yet-sturdy kind of fabric and very well-made. It's fully lined except for the sleeves, where the lace will cover your upper arms.

I should add that I'm about 5'10" and I only wear it as dress with thick dark tights or as a tunic with jeans, as it just covers my tush. It also has a 5-inch slit in the back. If you're shorter, it may work better; in any case, I've provided the measurements below.

As you can see, I'm posting the smaller things today as part of my clearing out project.

This is a brand new Anna Sui t-shirt with an adorable iron on print. I bought it for myself in college (heh) from the Anna Sui boutique on Greene Street in NYC and never wore it. Even then I remember it costing an arm and a leg.

APC Vintage Fuzzy Wool/Cotton Jacket and Pencil Skirt Set sz S

This jacket and skirt set are straight from my vintage APC stash. The pattern is pretty magnificently cool (especially if the pieces are not worn together, which can be overkill.) Both are unlined.

Material: 75 % wool, 25 % cotton. Very light-weight, thick, fuzzy material.

Measurements:
Jacket -- Bust 34" length 22" sleeve length 24.5"
Skirt -- waist 26", length 24"

Made in France.

The skirt is in great condition -- no noticeable wear. I am listing it here because I think that someone out there could think of a number of cool things to do to/with it, for example, to layer with thick knit tights.

I am slightly hesitant to sell the jacket because it has a little bit of wear on the front seam (see picture number 2,) and I don't like to post anything here unless it's in either perfect or near-mint condition, even if I'm asking for very little. However, if someone wants it, I'll send it for $10 (mostly for shipping). It would be perfectly fine to cozy up in on a chilly fall day in any case.

So here is the deal:

$42 for both skirt and jacket, including shipping. If you want only one piece, the skirt will be $35, the jacket $10. Keep in mind that the pieces, while light, are bulky and so a relatively big percentage of the asking price will go towards postage costs. Preference goes to whomever wants both.

I purchased this Diane Von Furstenberg dress from a resort collection about 6 years ago. I've only worn it three times since them (terrible PPW) and have kept it in a drawer since then. It is a black knit with white trim and accents. The front hemline is cut on an angle with a slit, and the back hemline is straight. It is a pretty sexy fit through the top.

I'm cleaning out my closet in preparation for upcoming major life changes and probably won't get around to wearing this again. I'd love for it to go to a good home.

This dress has the most amazing color and feel. It hangs well and the cut is extremely flattering. Fits true to a size medium. I purchased this from a lovely boutique at full price, and then only ended up wearing it a couple of times. Isabel Marant Taupe Suede Boots

Isabel Marant taupe, tall suede boots in size 39. Sold out and very hard to find. I just received them in the post from an ebay seller in France.These are gorgeous and I was disappointed as they were a bit too small for me.

These boots are gorgeous! They have a nice weight - in the hand and on the feet - and an exceptionally solid base (not light and flimsy like the copies). The suede is thick and delicious which means they not only feel luxurious but they also have staying power...scrunch them down a little and they stay in place, pull them up and they also stay in place!!!!. The have been re-soled very professionally and are clean and fresh. The heels do have a few nicks, but I checked with my bootmaker about this before I purchased them and was told that they are very easily mended.
