Acne Wool Pants, Size 38 (6)

100% wool "Lee" gabardine pants from Acne, from I think 2 seasons ago. Beautiful plum color that doesn't quite come across in my photo (the first 2, from the internet, are better). Slim/straight fit. Flat front, zip and tab closure. One back slit pocket. These were originally cropped and I had the hem lowered a bit to make them ankle-length. Great pants that just don't see enough wear in my closet.

Condition: Worn three or four times, in great condition.

Size: 38, or 6. Laying flat, measures 15.5" across the waist, 7" across the leg opening, 26" inseam, 11.5" rise, 36.5" in total length.

United Bamboo Dress, Size S/M

Truly gorgeous dress by United Bamboo. Heavy purplish gray/silver satin with a reddish brown velvet straps and front folded origami-like detail. The velvet straps have a kind of fringe mesh transparent border. Really unique and super well made. It just hasn't gotten enough wear in my closet.

Silk lining. Hidden zipper down the back. Waist is elastic, so it has a lot of give there and in the hips, but no stretch across the bust or back.

No size or material tag, not sure if this was a sample or if the tag disappeared when I had it altered from full to knee length. I'd say it is best for a size 6, but it could work for a 4 or 8 too. Laying flat, measures 16" across the bust, 13" across the waist, and 37" across at the bottom hem.

Condition: Excellent. Worn once.

Paid: $200 at a United Bamboo sample sale, originally retailed for $600!

Greetings! I've seen a few folks selling beauty products here before, so I thought I'd offer up the Clarisonic Mia that I have. I bought this device from Sephora in April on the recommendation of several people, including a make up artist and an aesthetician.

Since my skin is so delicate, I immediately bought the delicate brush head and used that instead of the "sensitive" one that the device came with. Unfortunately for me, it didn't help! My skin is so finicky, that even with super sensitive face washes, this product has not been good for me.

I have used the Mia maybe 15 times. I used it for a couple days right away when I purchased it, noticed it was giving my skin issues, then went to using it once every other week. Still didn't work for me, so I think it's time to let it go. 

The top picture shows you what you get: the device, the charger, and a brush head (unused, sensitive skin type, NOT the delicate brush). There is also a little packet with information about the device, including how to charge it. There is a little note in there that says because the color of the device is so dark, you can't see the charging light. Annoying (they didn't tell you this on the website, initially), but I didn't find it to be a problem. I only had to charge it twice since I used it so infrequently, and it did not take very long to charge. 

Note: the link above to the Sephora site gives you more information. This device is a single speed, does not have the beeps to tell you when to change where you are cleansing, and can be used in the shower without a problem.

I do not have the original box; I threw it away to save space. I will package this carefully, and ship priority mail with a tracking number.

MADEBYHANK foldover bag in denim polka dot. I bought this lovely, handmade bag in the fall of 2012. I saw it on OhJoy!, and knew my polka dot love had found a bag to match. I quickly recognized, however, that it was a little too small for my needs, and it has since languished in my closet.

Specifics:
Cotton denim (hand dotted with white paint) and leather. The strap and closure, and the corners are two different colors of brown leather. The top zips closed and has a leather tassel.

There are some flaws in the leather (see the above photos) and a small flaw on the tassel on the zipper (it looks like maybe the leather was being embossed and that's the piece that was used? I don't know...) The bag was received like this, and I just think it's part of the bag being handmade!

The bag is a lightly padded (the description says there is a thin lining of felt inside), and is lined in a pretty cotton striped fabric. 

The size is nice:
opened flat - 11" wide, 11" tall
folded over - 10.5" wide, 6.5" tall
interior pocket - 5" wide, 4" tall
strap - about 47" long (can be worn over the shoulder, cross body, or tuck in the strap to make a clutch)

This bag is unused. I put a few items in it, and realized it was too small. I kept it, thinking I might size down, but didn't. This bag will be great for spring! This design is sold out on the website (I think very few were made!) and she is currently doing mostly leather bags.  I paid $69.00 plus shipping.

Zac Posen Pleated Silk Blouse Size 10/Medium

 

I bought this blouse a few years ago used and unfortunately it is too big. It's 100% authentic and listed originally for $900 dollars. There are a few blemishes to note: on the blouse but very minor a small pen mark at the bottom, and a water stain on the packet. And a button has been replaced on top that doesn't match the other buttons but you can't see it due to the hidden placket. (All of this reflected in price) I haven't dry cleaned it but water stains will likely come out. Silk/Cotton blend.

Great velvet burnout shift dress by Tessuto. Black and olive green velvet windowpane pattern with black rayon background. Made in the US. Good for any remaining winter parties! Classic dress that just doesn't fit me anymore.

Material: 27% silk, 73% rayon.

Size: P, would work for an XS or size 0-2, maybe 4. Laying flat, measures 12" across the shoulders, 16" across the bust, 14" across the waist, and 19.5" across the hem.

Condition: Excellent, worn two or three times. No marks, stains or noticeable wear.

Black Sweater Leggings Size Small

Black wool and cashmere leggings by LA-based knitwear brand Suss, made in the US. Super soft and warm. Nice ribbed detailing at the ankle. Great condition, worn twice with some minor pilling but otherwise no major wear. Love these they are just a bit too warm for where I live these days.

Material: 90% mercerized wool, 10% cashmere.

Size: 1, which is a size small. 28" inseam, 39.5" in total length, 12" across the waist, 4.25" across the ankle.

Reduced: No. 6 Dress Size 2 (S/M)

Purple 100% silk dress from No. 6, made in the US. Great basic dress with nice details: pin-tucked seam near the neckline, buttons along the left shoulder and up the left side of the bottom of the dress (see second photo). Unlined, the tiniest bit sheer but can be worn without a slip etc. Slight tulip shape. Meant to be worn a bit loose. Beautiful rich bluish purple that is brighter, and a bit more purple, than the photos suggest.

Size: 2. No 6. sizes are 1-2-3, so I'd say this is a S/M, or a 4-6. Measures about 18" across the bust, 20.5 across the hips, and 19.5 across the bottom hem.

Condition: Excellent. Worn once or twice, with no noticeable marks or stains.

Wolverine x Samantha Pleet Arc Boots in Blue Size 8.5

Awesome pair of blue ankle boots by Wolverine x Samantha Pleet.  Worn only a handful of times, and in great condition.  I am only giving these up because they are a little too big for me.  I would love to purchase these in the right size!  Awesome turquoise blue, easy 2 inch heel.  Elastic gore at sides.  Somehow these go with pretty much everything.  Exquisitely well made with half sole already a fixture.  Original box and dust bag included.

Beautiful stretch silk dress by Gretchen Jones in combination snakeskin and camo print.  Except--that camo print is actually floral!  Looks awesome on, but I've never worn it.  Tags are still attached.  Flattering waistband, A-line skirt, longer length, cute little peep hole with button at back neck.  Underarm zipper.  Transitions well through the seasons.  Nice and slinky on.

Henri Bendel Plaid Schoolgirl Skirt

Amazing wool skirt from Henri Bendel department store in New York City. Classic black and cream check pattern.

Label says size 6 but this is vintage/high-end and I would say it's closer to a modern 2 (waist measures 13.75 inches across = 27.5 inches total; length is 19 inches) but could fit a range if you wear it higher/lower on the waist.

Please note a couple of small issues: Discoloration under the button area at the waist, and at the left side of the waistband, a small hole/loose area of the weaving (see last two pics). Not noticeable when worn and generally in great condition and very well made.

Really cute dress from New York boutique Pinky Otto. This has a knitted medium-gray sweater top portion and a silky black short skirt, with a slightly dropped waist and black and gold buttons up the front! Cute details like tiny ruffle/pleating at the waist and skirt. 

Has no size tag but it's around an XS, 0-2 and could fit a range of sizes due to not being structured - length is short babydoll/mod length at 30 inches and the waist area of the sweater is about 16 inches across.

Worn a few times and in great condition. Terrific with tights and ankle boots or flats.

This is truly the most beautiful tall boot in a lovely warm brown leather with a subtle gloss to it. The leather is that perfect combination of supple and structured, and surprisingly this boot is lightweight and comfortable with a manageable heel. An A.P.C. classic!
