purchased a bird in cobble hill two winters ago because the color (an peacock blue) was absolutely captivating. unfortunately, the color has also been its downfall because i can never figure out what to wear with it. also, it's a bit too snug around the ribcage, which makes me even less likely to wear it. the color is vibrant in person, but also subtle in the variegated thread.

i bought this from jake two summers ago but have never worn it. probably because i don't own a slip and i don't like the elastic cuffs on the billowy sleeves. the color looks fantastic on keri russell but doesn't do much for me. matthew isn't too keen on it either, so away it goes!

purchased at saks 4 years ago when i was in a 60s phase. i love the gold embroidered dots at the collar and waist, and the wool is so soft and warm that i wish it were a blanket. it's a little too big on me. i would wear it more often but i find that mock or full turtlenecks are very uncomfortable.

purchased last january on sale, this is another item that i'm always drawn to but never wear because i'm afraid either my clumsiness or the cats will destroy it. so many subtle lovely details typical of cornejo's designs, but the sheer white fabric makes me oh so nervous.

hanii y wool cardigan, size 42 or small.

bought this from impulse three years ago. the softest wool cardigan you will ever own, and it hasn't pilled at all. the ribbon rosette buttons are so beautiful, and i love the fawn-taupe-white colorway.

flat measurements:
shoulders--14.5"

details:
slightly cropped length, thick 100% wool (not too bulky, but very very warm), oversized rosette buttons with hidden hook-eye closure, 3/4 length sleeves.

imperfections:
the fabric covering the top hook has receded somewhat, doesn't affect the functionality or appearance. i've also found that when the cardigan is fully buttoned, the fabric puckers slightly, so i've always worn it with the bottom two buttons undone.

will be drycleaned before shipping.

i bought this at barneys a few years back on sale. i've worn it no more than 3 times for fear of 'ruining' it. can't really justify keeping it, though, especially with a baby in the house. it looks really nice with half the buttons on the bib undone!

very very sheer! the crochet bib buttons unsnap, and there are two working crochet buttons on each sleeve cuff. will fit a 4-6, depending on your shoulders, length is pretty normal.

Max Mara Off White Knit Skirt

I bought it last year thinking I could rock it but I still haven't figured out the white skirt thing..

Has an off white knit (cotton/polyester) with lining.
24 inches from waist to hem.
never worn except to try it on several dozen times.
Its actually kind of on the big side so it sits really low on my hips. I usually wear size 27 or 6.
