This is a gorgeous dress from Label, a boutique I loved and frequented when I lived in New York. I have no idea if it is still there on Lafayette Street, but I still have several pieces from there that I cherish. If you are familiar with Label, you'll know that the pieces are not mass manufactured and are often one-of-a-kind experiments. I was told this was the only dress like it made!
This dress has incredible architectural details. It has a 3/4 length sleeve, zips up the side, has key-holes at the shoulders, and features a slight A-line skirt. Slightly ruched at the ribs.
One of the most wonderful features of this dress is that the lemon fabric, which features a nuanced pin-stripe, is aligned and pieced together to provide a contrast detailing. A very lovely detail, indeed.
(I apologize that took the photos after I pulled the dress out from storage, so in the photos, it is a bit wrinkled. However, it will come to you freshly pressed.)
Why I'm parting with the dress: This is a dress I don't *need* to edit from my wardrobe, but I think someone else could have a lot of fun with it because it's so special.
Be forewarned, however, it is cut quite small. It runs small for an XS, so follow the measurements below...
Measurements:
Bust: 32" (will accommodate an A cup or not full B)
Shoulder: 14 3/4"
Length: 40"
Sleeve length: 15"
Waist: 26"
Cuff opening: 8.5" -- it is this measurement that sometimes gives me problems because it's a narrow measurement. I think it would be easily remedied if the sleeve were shortened by an inch or two. Or it would be fine for someone with slender arms...
Paid: $150 years ago...
