The perfect little black dress in 100% wool and made in France(!). Classic sheath shape with back zip and flattering seaming in the front. The dress would be perfect for someone who wears a 0-2 AND is also rather flat-chested. That's the only part that makes this dress a little less than perfect to wear for me.

These are from the Fall 2006 collection, which was full of black and gold leather shoes with curved stacked wooden ombre heels. I love love love Dries Van Noten and have worn these shoes with love even though they are a full size too big for me. The leather uppers are in great shape, and the heels have just a few nicks. The soles show some wear but you could certainly take them to the cobbler and add a rubber outersole to extend the life of these. I will gladly polish up the leather with cleaner and conditioning cream before I ship them if you want! They're reminiscent of Rachel Comey Mars boots except, you know, Dries Van Noten :P

I literally just got these in the mail today, but am sadly letting this go since I just scored another pair of rainboots for super cheap and I don't need two pairs of rainboots. These are awesome, awesome rain boots from Native Shoes in the 'Jimmy' style - this is also the same style that Native Shoes collaborated with Marc Jacobs on awhile back. It features fleece lining on the interior, is in the beaver brown/navy color combination, rope laces and tear and wind resistant nylon. Super cute, super comfortable, and I'd totally keep them if I didn't already have another pair of boots. They currently still retail for $89.99 online.

One of my favorite jackets, but doesn't fit me now to the point of embarrassment. Navy raincoat with both notched collar and hood, with button placket all the way down front in color matched buttons, cinched waist front and back with stitching detail, fold over button flap pockets with contrasting white buttons, slit at bottom center back and slight puff sleeves at shoulders (just enough for shape). The exterior cotton was originally treated with a water resistant finish, though that's probably been washed off by now (easily reapplied should you wish). There is some slight yellowing of the interior lining right at the neck, but it's not terrible and may come out with some rigorous washing.

Condition: Great overall, see above note on lining

Purchased at some boutique I can't remember the name in Ballard, Seattle, Washington, and worn maybe five or so times. Long hoodie by Prairie Underground, an awesome Seattle based company specializing in organic materials and fiber. Features a full front two-way zip with some space at bottom for movement, kangaroo pockets in front, wooden bead drawstring detail (one bead on one drawstring and two beads on the other), contrast stitching allover, "ruffle" 'fray detail on pockets, slight puff gathering on top of sleeve/shoulder, and pleat/gather detail across back waist to give shape. Very warm and very comfy!

Item: One-of-a-kind wool kimono sweater by independent designer

Description: I bought this piece from Latifa Medjdoub, a French (now S.F.-based) designer and fiber artist. As a largely one-woman operation, all her pieces are limited edition, and handmade with high quality materials. Her designs are jaw-dropping (for more information, search her name on the internet or see examples of her work at http://cruststation.files.wordpress.com/2006/12/latifa-designs.jpg). This sweater is from her early Japanese-inspired collection. Kimono-shaped sleeves, with an interesting weave pattern. The top section is a rich claret colour on one side and a lighter tone on the other. It can be worn with either side at the front, with ties at the back. I love this piece, but just don’t have the chance to wear it.

Size & fabric: Fits a medium, or sizes 6-8. The variegated teal-coloured body is pure wool, but I think the upper-section yarn might be cotton.

Condition: Mint – worn only a handful of times. Some looser threads at the top right shoulder (see pic), which could be tightened or snipped. Not noticeable when worn.

Item: Bilali swing top, size 6 / medium.
Description: This is a lovely royal blue top with cape-like draping from now defunct UK label Bilali. The front seaming accentuates the ¾ length bell sleeves, while the back has a top, cape-like layer which drapes beautifully over the back (the top is constructed all of one piece). It has a retro 1940s yet thoroughly original style. I love it, but have rarely worn it – between 6 and 8 times. I hope someone else will give it the wear it deserves!

The top photos are mine; the bottom two catalog pictures illustrate the item worn, in particular the cape detail in the back.

Size & fabric: UK size 10, which equates to a US size 6 or medium. Runs true to size. Made of 70% viscose and 30% linen (without the usual stiff feel of the fabric). Feels and drapes like a soft cotton.

Condition: Excellent. No signs of wear. I removed the label in the collar because labels tend to irritate my skin, but the brand name appears on the care instruction label inside the garment.

All Saints Finsbury Trench Coat

Bought online only to realize that it was too big for my 5'4" frame! All Saints suggests sizing up, but I guess I over did it. I wish I hadn't, as it's sold out now! The detailing is really impeccable - large, square pockets with single-button detailing; double button cuffs. Apparently made at the same factory as the Burberry trench coats, and the quality does not suggest otherwise. The shell material is really thick (and seems weather resistant), but the inner cotton lining has a really soft hand. Definitely a trench you can keep for decades.

I don’t know what exactly to call this garment … a cape? a poncho? a vest? It drapes and layers nicely, but it never managed to push any of my favorite sweaters out of rotation. Thick, quality 100% cashmere in a nice charcoal gray. I wore it 2-3 times and it’s been handwashed. No defects or pilling that I can see. Measures 27 inches across and 21 inches from top to bottom when laying flat.

No surprise, these are stunning - so well made, impeccable styled, and even with the platform and rise, extremely comfortable. I pretty much hike through the woods to work though, so have realized that these gems are going to be box bound if they stay with me. Here's the description from Pour Porter: "Super comfortable, heeled buckle clog shoe. The Rufus is the latest addition to Rachel Comey's classic clog styles. Shoe features bumper toe with stitching detail, wooden bottom, and adjustable monk strap buckle." I am a size 9 and opted for the 9.5 since some folks reported that these run a little small/narrow, but I think they are true to size as I ended up having to put an insert into the 9.5. Although these are on sale now, this size is sold out everywhere. They have been worn twice, they are basically brand new (these will be mailed in the original box), although there is one tiny abrasion to the leather on the buckle of the left shoe (smaller than a pencil eraser). Note that the leather has some inherent imperfections here and there, you can see this in a few of the photos from the Pour Porter website.

Black denim pencil skirt with slight acid wash and button detailing at top. Has a tiny bit of stretch -- easy to move around in and not constricting at all. Letting it go because I simply don't wear it anymore! A couple notes from the photos: folds in front (seen in first photos) can be easily ironed out, and what looks like a small mark near the top left on the back of the skirt is an effect of the camera picking up the denim's wash -- not noticeable in person. In good condition -- worn around 5 times, I'd say.

A very nice warm 100% wool coat for petite ladies. This one is super warm and can be worn buttoned up or open, like a double-breasted trench. The side straps are removable if you want a less nipped-in-at-the-waist look. Two front slant side pockets. Princess coat silhouette that hits a little below the knee on me (I'm 5'4"). And also, the cutest name tag on the inside and velvet trimmed peter pan collar :) A little wrinkly from storage but was cleaned after the last time I wore it.

I bought these boots about a year ago and have only worn them a few times because they are too big for me. I normally wear a 6-6.5 and these would be best suited for a size 7. I can only wear them with very thick socks in the winter. The boots are completely handcrafted from a single piece of top quality leather in Australia. Combined with the Longhorn sole, the boots are pretty much bullet proof and will probably outlast their owner. I hate to see these go but they need to find a new home where they can be properly broken in. Definitely a worthy investment for those constantly wearing through high street type chelsea boots. Similar to the Doc Marten chelsea boots but better quality.

I LOVE this cape so much. It was a special edition cape that the designer Ellen Van Dusen of the label Dusen Dusen designed with Daily Candy editor Erin Wylie last winter. They only made a few of these, and it's SO gorgeous. The cape is made of cotton and is fully lined. There is a toasty hood for windy/wet days or just days when you feel like being a loner. The blue on the bottom of the cape is handpainted (but it won't run if you wash it) and it's a wonderful cape for spring/autumn or the mild New York winter we had in December. I bought these shoes as a birthday present to myself several years ago and have since only worn them a couple of times for special occasions. In truth these shoes are versatile enough to wear for most occasions, so I think it's time to let go. I normally wear a 6-6.5 or 36.5 and these are just a smidge too big lengthwise. The heel height is quite high (4.5") but the 1" platform makes them pretty comfortable to walk in. The dark brown leather is gorgeous in person and quite striking against the unique green heel. They are in like new condition with minimal wear on the soles.

Yoshiki Hishinuma is a renowned fashion designer and textile artist who worked with Issey Miyake before going out on his own (google him - very impressive). Like the PleatsPlease line, this item travels extremely well.

The material is soft and silky to the touch and super lightweight, making these great pants for warmer weather. The length is slightly cropped, the legs are slightly tapered, and the rise is a mid-length. They look good cuffed or cuffed. Two front slant pockets, hook and bar closure, one back pocket, and belt loops. Signature Margiela white line stitched into the back below the waistband. And of course, made in Italy! I would keep these except that they are too big for me now, even with a belt. I can provide measurements if need be.

Perfect Sanita tan clogs. These clogs are the ORIGINAL clogs—all handmade using sustainable products.

Condition: Perfect. I took a risk buying these off a site that doesn’t accept returns. I went with their advice and went a size up—doesn’t fit! I was really cursing myself because they are so crazy cute.

Measurement: Listed EU 38
insole length: 9.5 inches
width at widest part of the sole: 2.75 inches (I think this is pretty flexible because of the construction of the shoe. I have fairly wide feet and would never have dreamt that the sole width was 2.75. My feet fit comfortably in the shoe and there is no ugly overhang because of the covering.

Condition: Bought online. Worn 2 or 3 times to try on. Thought the medium would fit me but it’s too big. Forgot to send it back before the refund deadline. There are 2 small puckers in the jacket but because of the type of the fabric, they’re difficult to notice. Please see detail picture for reference.

Condition: Perfect. Worn once to try on. I loved the style so much I convinced myself that they looked good on me when they didn’t.

What: Really cute United Bamboo halter dress. Perfect for summer. A light blue color—almost like faded denim. 100% linen, lining is 100% cotton. Very high quality.

Condition: Bought on a whim. Realized that I needed to be about 10 pounds lighter to rock it well. Worn only to try on at store and at home.

Measurement (measured flat, double to get circumference): Listed size is 4. The dress is supposed to fit loose so the measurements won’t necessarily correspond to a size 4.

Waist: about 17.25 inches. Length: This is hard to measure because of the halter but I measured from the neck on the front of the halter to the hem of the skirt—35 inches
