I purchased these earrings from Erica Weiner, but they're a bit bigger than I prefer. Tried on once. Here's the description from www.ericaweiner.com:

"We love a good visual joke, and we REALLY love a double entendre.  Ergo, we love these "screwed" earrings: vintage brass studs in the shape of the head of a screw.  The symmetrical "screw" piece is 1/2 inch wide, 2 mm thick, and slightly domed.  The earrings were probably manufactured in the 70's, so we're pretty sure that the posts are surgical steel.  We just attached gold-plated brass backs and didn't touch the velvety, irregular finish - we think it's very pretty."
