Cotton shirt from Pondicherry, India

Posting for Katie

Very thin cotton shirt purchased at a market in Pondicherry, India. I have several versions of this shirt in different fabrics, and haven't worn this one in over a year. There is a pattern going diagonally across the chest (pictured), which is echoed in stripes down the sleeves; the sleeves are sort of kimono-style/flared, and tie closed. The material is very thin and semi-transparent. I've noticed that on the "vintage loves" section of the Free People website, they're selling shirts very similar to this item for 70.00 or 80.00 bucks (crazy rip-off!). It's marked a size large, but I wear a small and this fits me well. I've included a photograph of myself wearing it to show how the sleeves/length work (I was wearing the sleeves untied).

I am asking $15.00 inclusive of shipping in the US. Please email katie at katiekentuckychambers@gmail.com with questions.

Listing ends a week from posting date.

  1. Hi-I like this alot- Just wanted a bit more info please. Rough measurement across the top of shoulders & also underarm bustline? I have broad shoulders but a small chest; is blouse relatively easy to get on/off even without buttons, etc? And 1 more thing-is the color depiction pretty accurate; a darkish berry/burgundy w/teal & mustardy accents...or is it much lighter/brighter than it seems? Sorry to be a pain- I just don't want to end up with ANOTHER item that doesn't work for me, but I'm hoping this will. Thanks!jewelz4208(at)hotmail(dot)com
